From the survey sample, among the public cloud service users in China, East China has the largest number of users, accounting for about 40% of the total sample; It is followed by North China, Central South, Southwest and Northeast China, which are 24%, 22%, 6% and 5% respectively. Northwest China is the least, which is 3%. In terms of the number of private cloud users, East China still tops the list, accounting for 37% of the total sample; It is followed by North China, Central South, Northeast, Southwest and Northwest, respectively 27%, 21%, 7%, 6% and 2%, and overseas users account for 1%.

The report also makes statistics on the use of cloud computing by the respondents. Among the respondents, 19.4% of the respondents clearly indicated that cloud computing has been applied, while about 29.5% of the respondents have not yet applied cloud computing. Among the users who have applied cloud computing, 56.7% are using public cloud services, accounting for 60%; 18.6%, less than 20%, are using private cloud; 24.7% of them are using hybrid cloud, which is about a quarter of the total.

The survey report shows that in 2015, the national public cloud service market grew rapidly. In 2014, China's total revenue from public cloud services was about 7.02 billion yuan, up 47% year on year. This year, this figure is expected to increase to 10.25 billion yuan, up 46% year on year. The IaaS market continues to maintain a hot momentum, with the total revenue expected to reach 4.2 billion yuan in 2015, up 60.3% from 2.62 billion yuan last year; The growth rate of the SaaS market is slightly slower, and the total revenue is expected to reach 5.53 billion yuan; The total revenue of PaaS market is expected to be 520 million yuan.

The report further points out that "relatively low cost" is the main factor for users to choose public cloud services, and 65.3% of respondents chose this answer. In addition, 62.6%, 50% and 44.8% of users choose "low IT support requirements", "fast resource expansion" and "short deployment cycle", respectively. 72% of public cloud service users believe that their IT spending will become less after adopting public cloud services; 10% of users think that their IT expenditure has not changed much and is relatively flat, while only 18% of users think that their IT expenditure has increased. In terms of price performance ratio of services, more than 70% of users are "relatively satisfied" or "very satisfied" with domestic public cloud services, while only 0.8% of users feel that the price performance ratio is poor.

It is worth mentioning that the application prospect of public cloud services is generally promising. 84.6% of public cloud service users said that they would migrate more services to cloud computing. Accordingly, security has become the primary consideration for users to choose cloud service providers, followed by service prices, service stability and after-sales service quality. Quite a number of users believe that carrying out third-party security and quality evaluation and certification, improving cloud computing security supervision and cloud service industry management policies, and optimizing cloud service website filing policies will help promote the development of the public cloud service market.

The survey also shows that more than one third of public cloud service users have experienced changing cloud service providers, mainly due to high prices, poor stability, poor service or poor after-sales service. Nevertheless, users' trust in domestic cloud service providers has improved. 19.7% of respondents said that they would prefer domestic public cloud service providers when facing domestic and foreign service providers at the same time.
