Man is arrested for applying for 100M broadband to sell to nearby residents
Broadband is operated by telecom companies, and residents need to buy it from telecom companies when using it. But Wang found a way to make money from it. He applied to the telecom department for 100 megabyte dedicated broadband on the ground of opening a hotel, and then sold it to residents living nearby at a price below the market price. At most, the number of users has grown to more than 300. Recently, the Economic Investigation Brigade of Suide County Public Security Bureau cracked the first case of illegal broadband network business in Yulin, and successfully captured the suspect Wang.
It is understood that the suspect Wang is from Zhangjiabian Town, Suide County. From 2011 to 2014, Mr. Wang, together with Mr. Wang and Mr. Song, applied to Suide Telecom for a 100 megabyte broadband line in Longwan, Suide, on the grounds that the hotel used broadband network, and then transferred it to social users, and charged each household about 600 yuan per year according to the standard lower than the normal market price.
In 2015, after the hotel was closed, Mr. Wang and Mr. Song signed a broadband network business cooperation contract with Suide Telecom in the name of a livestock and poultry breeding professional cooperative in Suide. The broadband network speed was 200 megabytes, and broadband users continued to develop. By the time of the crime, the two had expanded broadband users to more than 300.
According to the police handling the case, Mr. Wang and others were suspected of illegal operation of the broadband business of telecommunications network with others without the approval of the national competent authority. Recently, Suide County Public Security Bureau put Wang on file for investigation on suspicion of illegal business operation according to law, and arrested the criminal suspect Wang, who confessed his crime. At present, the case is under further investigation.
