Oolong 11 hours | Tencent Cloud System BUG requires customers to change the contract subject

On the evening of June 21, China's IDC circle received the user's disclosure that Tencent Cloud had sent a notice by mistake, requiring it to re authenticate its real name or change the subject of the contract.

From the screenshots sent by the informant, we can see that Tencent Cloud sent an error notice at 10:00 a.m. and did not send a fault false alarm recovery notice until 8:41 p.m. The impact of false alarms lasted for 11 hours.

As for the reasons that may cause the false alarm of the notice, China's IDC circle asked professionals to verify that the false alarm of Tencent Cloud was related to the electronic contract. The electronic contract system itself had a bug, and the user's real name authentication information was not written in the electronic contract, and the bug was brought to the production environment.

Because the false alarm only involves the re real name authentication or the change of the contract subject, it does not involve property problems, so the fault level can be judged as mild, but the 11 hours of black dragon has also brought considerable trouble to "some" users who received the false notification.

Normally, no cloud computing vendor can guarantee zero system BUG, and products can also be launched with BUG. However, as the top three cloud service provider in China, Tencent Cloud should pay attention to details.
