In 2021, artificial intelligence will replace 6% of human jobs

AI may not destroy human beings, but many people are beginning to worry about whether AI will replace human jobs? The answer is obvious.

The latest research report released by Forrester, a research institution, shows that in the next five years, 6% of human jobs will be replaced by artificial intelligence, including many jobs in customer service, freight and taxi service industries.

Brian Hopkins, Vice President of Forrester, said that by 2021, this trend will officially begin. Solutions driven by artificial intelligence and cognitive technology will replace many positions, and transportation logistics and customer service will be the first to be affected.

Why 2021?

The report points out that although AI has been highly sought after at present, by 2021, AI or robots will be able to better understand human language, and their learning ability will also be greatly improved to cope with more complex situations. These improvements are the premise for AI to replace human jobs.

Of course, the replacement of 6% of the jobs mentioned in this report is only a part. With the further maturity of AI technology, more jobs will appear in the future.

According to previous reports of The Economist, in a survey covering 702 types of work, 47% of people in the United States are likely to have their jobs automated in the future. Telemarketers, accounting auditors, retail staff and other positions are likely to be driven by artificial intelligence.

Of course, we don't need to worry too much. The "upper position" of AI is more to help people improve their work efficiency than to really replace it.
