At a time when the personal online disk service has been "lost" in a large area, LeEco Cloud Disk today issued a statement that it will stop the video upload service.

LeTV said that in order to cooperate with the national special rectification action on the use of cloud disk to disseminate pornographic information, LeTV Cloud Disk will adjust the server functions, suspend the video file upload service, and carry out the inventory of pornographic and pirated content on the cloud disk.

Previously, many online disks or personal cloud services, including 115 online disks and UC online disks, stopped storage. 360 Cloud Disk also announced on October 20 that it would stop personal cloud disk services and then transform enterprise cloud services.

The following is the full text of the statement:

Dear users of LeEco Cloud Disk, in order to cooperate with the national special rectification action on using cloud disk to spread pornographic information, LeEco Cloud Disk will now adjust the server functions, including (but not limited to) the following measures:

1. Suspend the video file upload service, and retain the user's original video data.

2. We will cooperate with the relevant national departments to actively carry out the inventory of pornographic and pirated content on the cloud disk. Once it is found, it will be automatically cleaned up, and it will be unable to provide backup and download services for such content.

Thank you for your continuous support for LeEco Cloud Disk. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this adjustment.
