At the main forum of 2015 China Mobile Global Partners Conference, Sha Yuejia, vice president of China Mobile, said that China Mobile would promote the rapid development of smart homes in three aspects: applications, platforms and terminals. In 2016, we will focus on Internet TV business and plan to develop 15 million customers of Mobil and 5 million customers of smart gateway.

However, Q1 financial report shows that China Unicom's fixed network broadband users increased by 1.08 million in the first quarter, reaching 73.41 million. The number of fixed network broadband users reached 116 million, a net increase of 3.11 million. Therefore, the 60.59 million subscribers of China Mobile have a great impact on China Unicom.

With the fierce development of China Mobile in the field of fixed network, China Telecom and China Unicom began to bear more and more pressure. However, at present, China Telecom Unicom is still holding fast to its dominant position in fixed network and seeking breakthroughs.

In this year's generous strategy, China Telecom said that in 2016, it will focus on the two business cores of "4G+" and "optical broadband", and make breakthroughs in five emerging areas, including smart home, payment, Internet+cloud computing and big data, and the Internet of Things, to achieve full coverage of 4G networks in cities and rural areas, broadband all-optical network coverage in cities across the country, and more than 100 million new mobile users and terminals.

At the same time, China Unicom will strengthen the benefit management of broadband terminal investment and reduce the impact on current profits while promoting the development of FTTH user scale in the future.

In addition, in 2016, China Unicom's cooperation will shift from urban areas to rural areas, and future rural market competition will play an important role. Perhaps in the future, China Telecom Unicom will form a group in the fixed network market.

In the past, China Unicom dominated the fixed network broadband market, followed by the fierce development of China Mobile in the fixed network field, as well as radio and television submitted applications to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for the basic business license of telecommunications, of course, private capital entered the cable broadband access market, and some second and third line operators were eyeing the fixed network broadband market.
