200P computing power has been strengthened, and the prototype of the largest container type data center in China has emerged

  

Recently, the hoisting of the first prefabricated module of Wuhan Supercomputing Center was completed.

The project adopts prefabricated module box frame construction. The prefabricated module box body is paved with integrated circuit, pipeline and other basic equipment. After the "assembly" of the box body is completed, the complete data center is finally built through the lifting, coating waterproof layer, pipeline connection and power distribution between the boxes and other processes.

It is reported that the prefabricated module box is mainly used to build the core business area of the computer room of Wuhan Supercomputing Center, which can be constructed in parallel with the on-site civil engineering. While greatly shortening the construction period, the prefabricated mode can also significantly reduce the carbon emissions in the construction cycle of the data center, promote energy conservation and emission reduction throughout the life cycle of the data center, and achieve cost reduction and efficiency increase.

Located in the core area of Hubei East Lake Science City, Wuhan Supercomputing Center is a major science and technology project in Hubei Province and Wuhan City, with a total floor area of about 4400 square meters. The construction content includes a 50P HPC computing system and an overall 200P computer room infrastructure (the 200P computing power will exceed the sum of 100000 computers), which is jointly invested by Hubei Science Investment Group and Wuhan Industry Investment Group. It is reported that Wuhan Supercomputing Center will become the largest container data center in China after its completion.

In the Wuhan Digital Economy Development Plan (2022-2026) issued by the Wuhan Municipal People's Government not long ago, it was clearly proposed that computing power is divided into general computing power and high-performance computing power for computing intensive tasks. The calculation formula is: CP=CP Universal+CP High Performance Capability strives to reach 1500PFLOPS, in which high performance computing power accounts for more than 35%, and the central region data center and computing power service hub will be built. Build an industrial Internet identity resolution node system covering the city's key industries and radiating the whole province and even the central region of the country.

After the completion of Wuhan Supercomputing Center, it will work together with the adjacent Wuhan Artificial Intelligence Computing Center to build a diversified computing power and group of AI+HPC, build a computing power base for Wuhan's scientific and technological innovation and industrial development with "dual centers", and help Hubei's digital economy achieve high-quality development.

In fact, in the 14th Five Year Plan for the Development of Big Data Industry in Hubei Province (referred to as the Plan) issued by the Hubei Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology not long ago, the construction of Wuhan Supercomputing Center and Wuhan Artificial Intelligence Computing Center was listed as the key development project of the data infrastructure construction project.

The Planning points out that cloud service computing power cluster should be built. Accelerate the construction of Wuhan Supercomputing Center, and the computing capacity of Phase I is 100P Flops HPC. Build and operate Wuhan AI Computing Center, provide a one-stop AI development environment, and provide computing infrastructure for relevant application scenarios. Relying on Wuhan Supercomputing Center and Artificial Intelligence Computing Center, build the first cloud service computing power cluster integrating artificial intelligence and supercomputing in China, and create the National Supercomputing Wuhan Center.
