Wanguo Data Shanghai Shenzhen IDC will be connected to AWS private network
Chinese data center operator Wanguo Data announced that it will launch AWS Direct Connect service in its Shanghai and Shenzhen data centers. AWS Direct Connect is a cloud service solution that can establish a private network connection from local to AWS. Using AWS Direct Connect to establish a private connection, you can connect AWS to the data center, office, or host hosting environment. In most cases, this can reduce network costs, increase bandwidth traffic, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet connections.

He said, "Our cloud access will bring the network system into the cloud era and work well with AWS based cloud solutions. The deployment of AWS access points in our facilities is another milestone for us. Our customers can choose more world leading cloud service solutions to enable them to expand their connectivity. "
Wanguo Data added that this deployment represents the first and only local connection point of AWS Direct Connect in Shanghai and Shenzhen, which are two important markets in China. Previously, AWS Direct Connect opened connections in Beijing, Ningxia and other places.
Two weeks ago, after the underwriter exercised all the options to purchase additional ADSs, Wanguo Data, after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions (excluding fees), raised about $445 million in proceeds through public offering.
The company announced that its previously announced public offering underwriter had exercised all options to purchase 1791044 ADSs from Wanguo Data at a public offering price of US $33.50 per share, and each ADS represented eight Class A ordinary shares.
In March 2019, Ping An Insurance Overseas (Holdings) Co., Ltd. of China made a US $150 million equity investment in Wanguo Data in the form of convertible preferred shares, which will be used to support Wanguo Data to further achieve business growth.
In China's first tier cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Chengdu, the total computer room area of the data center in the operation of World Data has exceeded 160000 square meters, including 26 self built data centers. There are 9 new data centers and 2 new projects of existing data centers under construction, with a total computer room area of more than 65000 square meters.
