The largest underground data center in Los Angeles was put into operation

The largest underground hosting data center in Los Angeles has been put into operation recently, and its users will be Southern California Telecom companies and enterprises, because cloud computing applications in the region are accelerating.

West 7 Centre, a subsidiary of Rising Realty Partners, headquartered at 1200 Seventh West Street, downtown Los Angeles, is a full-service investment platform specializing in commercial and industrial properties.

West 7 Centre currently has 16 carriers and approximately 172000 square feet of hosting space, which is part of its 340000 square feet of data center space.

The data center facility occupies three floors underground, and the nine floors above the ground are office space.

The data center hall is supported by two central factories in the building, with a total power capacity of 16.9 MW, a UPS power supply capacity of 3000 KVA, and a cooling capacity of 9000 tons.

According to a survey by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), an American real estate company, as more and more Internet of Things providers seek data storage for cloud computing services, and Asian telecommunications companies actively enter the U.S. market, the size of the U.S. data center infrastructure will triple by 2020.

West7Centre hopes to benefit from providing hosting services and diversified networks for OTT manufacturers, telecom operators, Internet of Things providers, medical institutions and government organizations.

Tyson Strutzenberg, chief operating officer of Rising Realty Partners, said, "West 7 Centre has added significant value to telecom operators and enterprises in Los Angeles and Southern California. It is not only the largest data center in downtown Los Angeles, but also the gateway to Asia, Part of West 7 Centre's data center is built underground, so it is the leading data center facility in the region in terms of seismic security and disaster recovery.
