US advanced anti DDoS server cloud bare metal server will use SSD solid state disk with a delay of 60-200 microseconds

In the afternoon of August 2, IBM has selected the cloud bare metal server configuration on Intel Optane SSD, which is characterized by nonvolatile storage. Especially for the deployment of Intel Optane SSD DC P4800X, this is the first combination of memory and memory functions, which is cheaper than traditional 3D NAND flash technology and non-volatile storage technology.

The difference between Optane SSD and traditional SSD technology and 3D Xpoint technology lies in the structural change, which is considered as a major breakthrough in storage technology from the 1960s to the present. American advanced anti DDoS server Cloud bare metal server will use SSD solid state disk to delay 60-200 microseconds

In March this year, Intel launched the SSD Intel Optane SSD DC P4800X, which was first deployed by Alibaba and Tencent. The random read/write speed of SSDs is up to 55 million, IOPS 500,000, The delay is 60-200 microseconds, and the lifetime write is up to 12.3PB.

According to IBM, it promises to deploy servers with high throughput, low latency, high QoS and ultra-high durability in the second half of this year, with non-volatile storage functions.

IBM stated that, SSD products will help enterprises break through data bottlenecks.

Dustin McNabb, blog analyst of the company, said: "Under any workload, The DC P4800X has an amazing response time, making it an ideal choice for demanding customers. "In addition, DC P4800X enables organizations to deploy larger and more affordable datasets and obtain new discoveries from large memory pools. "
