China Unicom's sudden disconnection fined 100000 yuan in Hong Kong

Kaivps reported on October 21 that the Internet was cut off. Although it was hated by people, almost everyone had encountered it. Generally speaking, broadband has more such failures and mobile communication is relatively rare.

According to the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, China Unicom was punished by the regulatory authorities for a sudden network failure.

It was reported that a spokesman for the Hong Kong Communications Authority said yesterday that China Unicom (Hong Kong) Operation Co., Ltd. had two network failures on April 3 and 5, 2015, respectively, which led to the interruption of its telecommunications services, including mobile voice services, SMS services and mobile data services. For this reason, the Communications Bureau decided to impose a fine of 100000 Hong Kong dollars (about 82000 yuan) on China Unicom.

The spokesman said that the first accident lasted 24.5 hours and about 75000 China Unicom customers were affected. The accident lasted 8.5 hours, and about 31500 China Unicom customers were affected.

It is better to avoid such things in the future.
