Ascent said that the power capacity of the data center with an area of about 400 acres can reach more than 100 megawatts. The existing building area is 248 mu, and the building area is about 91 mu. The building is instantly available and consists of multiple enterprise data centers. The data center also has 11148 square meters of usable space, which can rapidly deploy IT and provide up to 30 megawatts of power capacity. The data center can also provide an independent area of about 152 acres of land for customers to establish their own special facilities.

Toronto is one of the five most populous cities in North America, the Toronto Internet Exchange, Canada's five largest banks and nearly 15000 technology companies. The data center market in Toronto is developing rapidly.

Phil Horstmann, CEO of Ascent, said: "By working closely with Cambridge and Waterloo, we can use this first-class TOR1 data center to add portfolio to this community famous for its innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Companies, universities and start-ups, we will continue to expand and invest. After the acquisition of TOR1 data center, we have the ability to meet the demand for rapid economic growth.

There are multiple data centers in Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta, and the construction of Toronto data center has been increased, Ascent's managed data center portfolio layout is remarkable. This initiative enhances Ascent's immediate capacity requirements and allows Ascent to adapt to larger data center deployments.

Doug Craig, mayor of Toronto, said that the new data center is a way to highlight the value of the Toronto Waterloo regional technology corridor. "Cambridge has 401 expressway, higher education and talents, which undoubtedly makes Cambridge a place for investment, development or business expansion“
