In Q2 2016, the global cloud computing infrastructure market grew by 16% year-on-year
Synergy Research Group's data in the second quarter showed that in the cloud computing construction technology market, new Dell Technologies are catching up with HPE, Cisco and Microsoft, and these three companies still maintain a leading position in private cloud hardware, public cloud hardware and cloud infrastructure software. In September, the merger and acquisition between Dell and EMC has not yet been completed. If the two incomes are combined, they will rank second in the private cloud hardware market and third in the public cloud hardware market (the second quarter). From the perspective of the entire cloud hardware market, HPE has a 15% market share, followed by Cisco (14%) and Dell EMC (13%). At the same time, VMware's revenue of Dell Technology Holdings ranked second in the cloud infrastructure software market.
Other major cloud infrastructure providers include IBM, Lenovo, Huawei, Oracle and NetApp. The scale of cloud infrastructure market in the second quarter was slightly lower than that in the previous quarter, but it grew by more than 16% year-on-year.
In the last nine quarters, the average expenditure on data center infrastructure reached 29 billion dollars, including servers, server OS, storage, networks, network security and virtualization software. Cloud deployment currently accounts for more than half of the data center infrastructure market.
