Big data cloud is an important part of the "Golden Pass Project Phase II". The Golden Pass Project is one of the earliest "golden" projects proposed by the State Council. At present, the first phase has been completed, and the second phase adopts new technologies such as Internet of Things and cloud computing, focusing on the construction of the national customs monitoring and command system, import and export enterprise integrity management system, customs logistics monitoring system, etc. The overall planning construction period is 5 years, and the preliminary investment estimate is 4.095 billion yuan.
The corresponding bidding announcement shows that the total amount of data supported by the big data cloud is 8PB of unstructured data and 160TB of structured data. The whole project is divided into two stages, and the construction and application of the big data cloud platform environment will be completed on June 30.
A person close to the customs project said that the establishment of the platform will be used to improve the processing capacity of the customs system for unstructured data, such as video data. With the help of big data analysis technology, real-time analysis of video monitoring of more than 1800 major customs clearance sites in China can be realized. It is also possible to adopt big data cloud platform for national customs clearance integration, tariff forecasting, and fast passing based on enterprise credit.
"The project involves many large traditional IT manufacturers, but the customs pays more attention to major data technologies and Internet capabilities, which is the key to Alibaba Cloud's emergence", the above mentioned person pointed out.
Alibaba Cloud has not made any further response yet, only saying that "everything is subject to the customs announcement".
