Recent developments of global data center construction and upgrading

Recently, DuPont Fabros Technology Co., Ltd. has acquired a large area of land in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, which is located at the periphery of many data centers in Portland. The company also launched the third phase of the data center park project in Santa Clara, California. The data center space of the third phase has been pre leased by a customer, and DuPont Fabros Technology did not disclose the name of the customer.

The company purchased nearly 50 acres of Hillsborough land at a price of $11.2 million, and said this was part of the multi market expansion plan that the company has been implementing in recent months. The company also announced that it will build a large data center project in Toronto, Canada, and plans to enter the Phoenix data center market.

Google's Data Center Campus in Dallas, Oregon

Google has decided to invest 600 million dollars to continue expanding its data center in Dallas, Oregon, and expand near its existing data center park. In 2006, Google opened an operating data center in Dallas. Dallas's energy infrastructure, low land costs, and rich labor resources attracted data center operators to settle in.

The company has invested 1.2 billion dollars in the existing data center and plans to build a future data center less than a mile away from the data center.

Today, in addition to the low price of land and energy, Oregon provides attractive tax incentives for data center operators. Google received tax relief for the data center project last year.
