The first big data scientific research achievements cloud service platform in China was built
The reporter learned from the Computer Network Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that the "Science and Technology Data Resources Integration and Sharing Project", a special informatization project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences during the "12th Five Year Plan", undertaken by the Center, has recently passed the acceptance. The project covers three subprojects: data storage and management cloud service environment, massive scientific data analysis and application demonstration, and scientific data integration and sharing services. With the cloud service model, a data cloud supporting scientific research activities and scientific and technological innovation is formed.
According to Li Jianhui, director of the data center of the center, the new platform takes data assets as the core, makes full use of advanced cloud computing technology, and integrates important facilities and resources in the full life cycle of data. It is the first demonstration platform for big data scientific research achievements to serve social applications in China, and some achievements have produced social benefits. Among them, the speech synthesis technology developed by the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences based on data resources such as "speech synthesis corpus" has been applied in many mobile phones in cooperation with Samsung and Lenovo respectively.
The sub project of "data storage and management cloud service environment" has built 1 active and 1 standby+12 sub centers with 50PB Capacity based scientific data storage infrastructure provides cloud storage and cloud computing services for scientific data field, and provides stable and easy to use database building tools and self-organizing scientific research community building tools for scientific researchers, forming the ability to support scientific database performance evaluation and scientific data publishing, and supporting space science pilot projects, satellite remote sensing Data storage in fields such as microbiology has deployed private cloud for 17 units including 5 fields of cloud, and provided data disaster tolerance services for local units such as Beijing Local Taxation Bureau.
The sub project of "Scientific Data Integration and Sharing Service" has built 20 key databases and 20 professional databases with the participation of 58 hospital affiliated units. The total amount of integrated and sharable data has reached 592TB, basically meeting the expectations of project construction data and integrated data, and the service downloads have exceeded 400TB, More than 120 important data services have played an important role in serving scientific and technological innovation, national strategies, disciplinary development, social applications, international cooperation, etc.
Massive scientific data analysis and application demonstration have integrated various information resources such as scientific papers and scientific data, independently developed a visual application model DVDL, built a visual service platform DVIZ, supported multi-disciplinary fields and multiple types of data visualization applications, and the application demonstration has been running well, supporting a number of scientific research applications inside and outside the hospital.
