In 2015, cloud computing providers and enterprises provided popular network services for their users and leased most of the wholesale data center capacity.

NorthAmerican DataCenters is a commercial real estate company focusing on data centers. Jim Kligan is the manager of the company. He said that in 2014, wholesale data center suppliers achieved many successful businesses, while cloud computing companies did more than them. He said that 2015 was the best year for the development of data center rental market.

"I was surprised by the growth rate of cloud computing last year, because 40% of transactions came from companies based on cloud computing," Kriegen said

According to Kerrigan's latest annual report on the real estate market of data centers in North America, only Microsoft signed leases with three data centers, leasing nearly 30MW of power capacity. CenturyLink plans to divest some or all of its data center assets. In 2015, the company reduced the power capacity of two data centers by 17MW.

According to the report, Amazon Network Services signed a contract with CoreSite to lease a large data center with a space of 130000 square feet in Silicon Valley. This report also answers who is the single tenant of CoreSite's dedicated large data center in Santa Clara. It is reported that Amazon has also signed a small contract to lease a 2MW data center in Colo-D, Montreal, which is the company's service for its upcoming cloud zone in Canada.

Apple leased two data centers of DuPont Fabros Technology, with a total power capacity of 12MW.

In 2015, a new big user of data center appeared. Uber, a well-known manufacturer of car rental services, leased 14MW of data center capacity in Dallas, Santa Clara and Ashburn, Virginia. as report goes, Uber's large-scale expansion in the data center also shows its confidence in the development of its core business.
