Three big lies of so-called 10M is actually 2M "black broadband"

Since the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the pilot license for private broadband last June, more than 60 private broadband operators have obtained the license, but there are still tens of thousands of enterprises "driving without license", and these enterprises that have not yet obtained the operating license are collectively referred to as "black broadband" in the industry. Due to the lack of supervision on the sales and management of "black broadband", problems occur frequently. Recently, some consumers reported to the reporter of Beijing Business Daily that the quality of private broadband network they used was completely inconsistent with that introduced by broadband operators. After visiting several residential areas in Beijing, the reporter found that this phenomenon was widespread.

Lie 1 claims 10M, but it is 2M

Mr. Sun, who lives in a community on the North Fifth Ring Road in Beijing, has recently been troubled by the problem of broadband network speed. Previously, he purchased a 10M bandwidth network from the company "Liansu Network", but the actual effect of using the network was not satisfactory. Mr. Sun said that when refreshing the web page or playing games, the page often gets stuck, and sometimes it takes tens of seconds to open a page, Online games simply can not drive. "When I was in college, the dormitory also used a 10M network, but five or six people in the dormitory could use the network speed together, but now the network speed is only 2 or 3M at most, and there is no 10M as the company claims," Mr. Sun said.

In addition to the stuck situation, Mr. Sun often encounters network outages. "When the network is disconnected, I will call the staff of Liansu Network. They have never come to repair it. Every time they ask me to unplug the router and reconnect it, but it does not always work. Sometimes the network can be restored only the next morning. They never explained this situation in a positive way, but encouraged me to pay more for 20M or 50M broadband services. " Mr. Sun was very dissatisfied with the service attitude of Liansu Network. Hong Kong advanced anti DDoS server

The reporter of Beijing Business Daily contacted the staff of Liansu Network according to the contact information given by Mr. Sun, but his statement was obviously different from Mr. Sun's description. The staff member said that the network quality of the Liansu network was very good, and the community users also responded well. If there was a problem with the user network, Liansu network would definitely arrange maintenance personnel to come to the site for maintenance, and would not let it go.

In fact, Mr. Sun is not alone. On the Internet, netizens complain a lot about Liansu Network. Some netizens said that when the network speed is good, the so-called 10M network speed is the same as the 4M network speed, and when the network speed is bad, it is below 512K. Browsing the web is a problem, and playing large online games is not online at all. In addition to the problem of network speed, the company's service is also the object of many netizens' complaints.

Lie 2 Selling Dog Meat with Sheep's Head

The reporter of Beijing Business Daily further learned that the full name of Liansu Network Company mentioned by Mr. Sun is Beijing Liansu Information Network Technology Co., Ltd. According to the official website of the company, the main business scope of the company established in 2002 is network establishment, network operation, server hosting, e-commerce, etc. The main service objects are government agencies, enterprises and institutions, and residential communities. The information of Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce shows that the company's business scope is more extensive, including car rental, enterprise management, economic and trade consulting, undertaking exhibition activities, translation services, typing and copying, etc.

It is understood that this network has not obtained the private broadband pilot license issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which is often referred to as "black broadband". The so-called "black broadband", also known as "shanzhai broadband" or "black access", refers to the illegal business activities of units or individuals who have not obtained the access service qualification approved by the communication management department, and use illegal channels to obtain public bandwidth resources, provide Internet access services to ordinary users, thus obtaining economic benefits.

The reporter of Beijing Business Daily learned that the vast majority of "black broadband" businesses are selling dog meat in the name of sheep's head. These private enterprises do not have their own network resources at all. Their broadband is wholesale from regular telecom operators such as China Unicom and China Telecom, but many consumers are unaware of this matter. Mr. Sun once introduced that when he asked about broadband services, the service staff of Liansu Network replied to him that China Unicom could be installed in the network if he wanted China Unicom, and China Telecom could also be switched to if he wanted China Telecom.

In addition to such enterprises as Liansu Network, which peddle the broadband service resources of China Unicom and China Telecom in the name of the company, there is also a category of "black broadband" that does not even have a company name. They will provide broadband services to customers through certain technical means to earn profits. It is understood that in order to win the trust of consumers, a large number of "black broadband" operators without companies are carrying the banner of China Telecom and China Unicom on their advertising lists.

Lie 3: Price advantage attracts customers

The reporter of Beijing Business Daily learned that the phenomenon of "black broadband" is actually very common in society, especially in urban communities and surrounding villages. In Beijing, in addition to the Internet, there are times intercommunication, network energy longitude and latitude, time webstar, Rising Sky, and so on. According to Zou Xueyong, secretary-general of the private broadband industry alliance, a think tank of broadband, there are tens of thousands of "black broadband" companies like Liansu Network in China, and there are countless "black broadband" companies that do not operate in the name of the company. Previously, in order to safeguard their own interests, the three major operators had targeted these illegal small companies, but the number was too large to restrain, As a result, it has not been thoroughly cleaned.

Although the quality of service is not guaranteed, these "black broadband" are growing wantonly. In the eyes of industry insiders, the price advantage promoted by "black broadband" is the fertile ground for their survival. Mr. Sun once said that the reason why the broadband of Liansu Network was handled before was that the price was cheap.

The reporter of Beijing Business Daily inquired about the broadband tariff of China Unicom in Beijing. The tariff of 20M broadband is 1480 yuan/year, and that of 50M broadband is 1780 yuan/year. According to the staff of Liansu Network, the company charges 880 yuan/year for 10M broadband and 1080 yuan/year for 20M broadband. On the 20M broadband service alone, Liansu Network is 400 yuan cheaper than China Unicom every year.

Near some residential areas outside the East Fifth Ring Road in Beijing, the reporter of Beijing Business Daily even saw some small advertisements for broadband Internet access that said "optical fiber Internet access, 4M, 6M as low as 50 yuan/month". Such "black broadband" does not require ID card processing, but also can meet the temporary use needs of some customers. The price is also cheap, so there is some room for survival.

However, industry experts said that, first of all, from the price point of view, although "black broadband" is cheaper than the three major operators in terms of annual usage fees, the network speed is not as fast as promised. In other words, the price of 20M bandwidth paid a year is 4M speed, and the actual price is hundreds of yuan more than the price of the three major operators. Secondly, the "black broadband" that is handled on a monthly basis as mentioned above cannot guarantee the security of Internet access, and even the situation that the operator cannot be found after the network fee is collected may occur, which makes the risk difficult to control.
