From the evening of the 28th to the morning of the 29th, major cloud computing service providers around the world, including Alibaba Cloud, Amazon, and Microsoft, will successively release their financial reports for the fourth quarter of 2015. The market is looking forward to the revenue growth of each cloud computing business. Alibaba Cloud was the first to release its Q4 financial report, with a quarterly growth of 126%, again maintaining a triple digit growth rate.

In the last quarter, Alibaba Cloud's revenue grew by 128% and Amazon AWS grew by 78%. For Microsoft, the revenue of intelligent cloud, including Office365, grew 8% in the last quarter. There is no doubt that cloud computing is becoming a new business infrastructure, and it is also a new battlefield for various technology giants to compete.

According to IDC's latest statistics, as of the first half of 2015, the top five service providers with the highest market share in the global public cloud computing market were Amazon, Microsoft IBM, RackSpace and Alibaba Cloud. Alibaba Cloud has already become the absolute leader in China's cloud computing market. Considering its high growth for two consecutive quarters in the second half of 2015, the global market may have formed a "triple A-shaped" pattern (AWS AliCloud、Azure)。

Alibaba said in its financial report that the rapid growth of cloud computing business benefits from Alibaba Cloud's continuous expansion of domestic and international markets, and its rich products and world leading technologies.

In the financial report, Alibaba specifically mentioned that Alibaba Cloud broke a world record last October. In the Sort Benchmark competition, which was founded by Jim Gray, the father of the database, Alibaba Cloud shortened the sorting time of 100TB data to 377 seconds, breaking the previous record held by researchers from Microsoft, Yahoo and other institutions.

Not long ago, Alibaba Cloud released the world's first one-stop big data platform, "Digital Plus", to open up Alibaba's big data technology and platform accumulated over the past decade, and the first batch of 20 products were unveiled. This is the world's first one-stop open platform for big data that includes the front, middle and back offices.

In 2015, Alibaba Cloud helped Alibaba build the world's largest hybrid cloud practice, and successfully ran core transactions of Taobao, Tmall and Alipay in the form of public cloud and private cloud. The peak number of double 11 system transactions reached 140000 per second, and the peak number of payments reached 85900 per second. In addition, Alibaba Cloud also helped China's largest TV station and China's largest railway ticketing system 12306 successfully deal with very difficult challenges.

The cloud computing market has huge potential, and Alibaba Cloud has also expanded its layout in the international market. Since October last year, Alibaba Cloud has expanded its data centers in the West Bank of the United States and Hong Kong, and said that it will build new data centers in the East Bank of the United States, the Middle East, Europe and other places in the future, and constantly improve the layout of the "global network".
