Aofei Data's 1.26 billion fixed increase was approved to add nearly 5000 cabinets in Langfang and Guangzhou
On February 8, Aofei Data announced that the application for issuing shares to specific objects was approved by the CSRC, and the raised funds would not exceed 1.26 billion yuan, which would be used to build two data center projects in Langfang and Guangzhou.

Where to use the fixed increase of 1.257 billion yuan
Listed companies issue shares to specific objects in a non-public manner, which is called "private placement", or "fixed placement" for short.
1) In July and August 2022, Aofei Data Company held relevant internal meetings, and the Board of Directors and the General Meeting of Shareholders reviewed and approved the proposal on issuing A-shares to specific targets in 2022.
2) In November 2022, The application for fixed increase of Aofei Data was approved by Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
3) February 2023, Aofei Data has been approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission to approve its registration application for issuing shares to specific objects.
The total amount of funds raised in this fixed increase does not exceed 1257.2 million yuan, about 1.257 billion yuan. After deducting the issuance expenses, it will be used for:
Use of raised funds for fixed increase of Aofei Data
1) The new generation cloud computing and artificial intelligence industrial park (Langfang Gu'an Building B and Building C) project is proposed to raise 570 million yuan;
2) The project of Digital Smart Industrial Park (Building A, Nansha, Guangzhou) is planned to invest 370 million yuan;
3) It is planned to invest 317 million yuan to replenish working capital and repay bank loans.
New generation cloud computing and artificial intelligence industrial park (Building B and Building C of Langfang Gu'an) project
Project investment: The total planned investment is 570 million yuan, including computer room design, decoration engineering fees, hardware equipment purchase, reserve funds, initial working capital, etc., and it is planned to use the raised funds for investment.
Project location: Gu'an Julong Industrial Park at the intersection of Dongfang Street and Guihua 1st Road, Gu'an County, Langfang City, Hebei Province
Construction content: Two data center machine room buildings, Building B and Building C, are planned to build 1700 4.4KW and 1500 8.8KW cabinets in the industrial park.

Project approval:
The project is planned to be constructed on its own land, which does not involve new land use, and has been filed in March 2022. In addition, the project does not belong to the construction project specified in the Catalogue of Classified Management of Environmental Impact Assessment of Construction Projects (2021 Edition) and is not included in the management of environmental impact assessment, so it is not necessary to prepare environmental impact assessment documents.
The expected construction period of the project is 12 months.
Digital Smart Industrial Park (Building A, Nansha, Guangzhou) Project
Project investment: The total investment of the project is planned to be 370 million yuan, including computer room design, decoration engineering fees, hardware equipment purchase, reserve funds, initial working capital, etc. It is planned to use the raised funds for investment.
Project location: Advanced Manufacturing Base in Dagang Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou
Construction content: 1460 8.8KW cabinets are planned to be built in the data center machine room building A in the industrial park.
Implemented by: Guangzhou Aorong Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aofei Data
Project approval: the project is planned to be invested and constructed on the subsidiary's own land, which does not involve new land use, and has been approved for filing. The project is also not included in the management of environmental impact assessment and does not need to prepare environmental impact assessment documents.
The expected construction period of the project is 12 months.
The above two data center projects invested by the raised funds include three data center machine room buildings, and 4660 cabinets will be added after completion.
Although the fixed growth rate has just been approved, it does not mean that the project has not yet been constructed.
According to the materials, before the raised funds are in place, Aofei will invest the self raised funds first according to the actual situation of the project progress, and replace them after the raised funds are in place. In the reply to the relevant inquiry letter, the Nansha 5G Digital Smart Industrial Park project has progressed to "civil engineering and installation of some machine room equipment".
Accelerate the business layout of first tier cities Five thousand new cabinets
The two data center projects mentioned above are located in Nansha District of Guangzhou City and Langfang City around Beijing. They are the two regions with the strongest demand for IDC cabinets in China - Dawan District and Beijing Tianjin Hebei. Obviously, this is one of the main reasons for the increase of Aofei Data this time.
In recent years, the rapid development of digital economy in first tier cities such as Beijing and Guangzhou has driven the continuous growth of local demand for data centers.
At the same time, affected by policy restrictions, tightening of energy assessment, shortage of land and power and other factors, the number of new cabinets in first tier cities has declined significantly, and the supply of cabinet resources is becoming tight. Therefore, IDC enterprises have stepped up their layout in first tier cities and surrounding areas, and increased cabinet resources through acquisition, new construction and other means.
Taking Beijing as an example, the IDC Market Research Report 2020-2021 in Beijing and Surrounding Areas released by Kezhi Consulting predicted that in the next three years, more than 80% of the new cabinet resources in Beijing will be concentrated in the suburbs outside the central city of Beijing, Langfang City around Beijing, Zhangjiakou City and Wuqing District of Tianjin.
Aofei Data Hebei Langfang New Generation Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park
The new generation cloud computing and artificial intelligence industrial park funded by Aofei Data is in Langfang.
In the past two years, stimulated by new infrastructure and other favorable factors, the overall stock of the data center market has increased significantly, and the listing rate and sales of new data centers have attracted attention.
By the end of September 2022, the data center layout of Aofei Data is mainly in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and Beijing Tianjin Hebei Region, with 17358 usable cabinets, and the cabinet utilization rate is 68.86%.
After the completion of the two projects invested in this regular increase, 4660 usable cabinets will be added for Aofei Data.
At present, it seems that these cabinets are not worried about selling. For them, Aofei Data has signed an agreement of intent with Baidu.
