Hangzhou Meteorological Bureau used high-definition video cameras to collect a large number of image data of the whole sky, grass, forest, tea and other images at 28 meteorological stations, and selected more than 11000 images from more than 1 million original images. Through Baidu EasyDL customized training and service platform, it trained recognition models such as cloud shape, cloud volume, weather conditions, frost and dew, glaze and rime, tea frost and so on. The accuracy rate of model recognition is generally more than 85%, including cloud recognition of more than 20 classifications and cloud amount recognition of 12 classifications. The accuracy rate of model recognition is also more than 80%, which basically meets the operational requirements of meteorological observation. At this point, meteorological observation will start the "sky face recognition" mode like "face recognition". Artificial intelligence will end the history of artificial ground meteorological observation and realize the complete automation of ground meteorological observation. At present, the Hangzhou National Reference Climate Station directly under the Hangzhou Meteorological Bureau is still further supplementing the training set data. After passing the authoritative test organized by the China Meteorological Administration, the identification model will be applied to the actual meteorological observation business.
