No matter which ECS or host we use, all we need to do is data backup. If your technical ability is average, you can use FTP to download it locally. If your technical ability is good, you can use one click backup script to local or third-party server or object storage. Of course, you can also use the image backup or snapshot backup provided by ECS. Generally, we can see that snapshot backup and image backup are provided at ECS vendors.

After all, sometimes the scheduled backup we set in the server's WEB environment may not be able to be backed up due to the abnormal scheduling mechanism. To ensure double insurance, we can also set backup on the ECS side. However, we need to know that most snapshot backups are charged. This is subject to different merchant standards. First, create a server image

The so-called server image, when we create a custom image, the system will create a snapshot by default. Before deleting this snapshot, you need to delete the associated image. The current snapshot has been commercialized, and retaining the image will incur a certain snapshot fee. The account is in arrears, which will lead to the failure of image production. In fact, what's the use of images? When creating a new server, we can directly use our image as the system.

Here we can select the corresponding server to create images.

Second, snapshot backup

Snapshot backup, to be frank, is to directly back up our current system drive letter. If we restore the current system, we will directly restore all the current ECS, including the system and its data.

We can take a snapshot backup of our ECS disk in the cloud disk service. Then, after the backup is completed, if it is necessary to restore, you can select the node where we backed up.

If we are afraid of forgetting the backup, we can choose to set the snapshot backup time on a regular basis, and then the periodic backup will be automatically performed.
