When we choose ECS, do we often see different network differences such as CN2 optimized lines, CN2 GIA boutique networks, and 163 backbone networks? What are the differences between these networks? In this article, Lao Zuo introduces the difference between CN2 network and 163 backbone network.
1、 Difference between CN2 line and traditional 163 backbone network
1. What is CN2 line?
The full name of CN2 is China Telecom Next Carrier Network, which is abbreviated as CNCN and further abbreviated as CN2. Corresponding to the older generation
The new generation global IP backbone network (AS4809) of ChinaNet (called 163 network for telecommunications). It is a multi service bearer network, which can support the application of data, voice, and video multi service integration.
2.163 Backbone network
The backbone network is the line frequently used by telecom users, with the lowest level. Routes starting from 202.97 often appear. This network is responsible for 90% of the telecom service load (163 has 90% of the bandwidth capacity of the entire overseas export of the telecom). It is congested and has a high packet loss rate on overseas lines.
2、 What are the types of CN2 lines
CN2 lines can be divided into two types: CN2 GT, CN2 GIA and 1. CN2 GT
CN2 GT is a global transit product in the telecom CN2 product line. It is the lowest level in CN2, with provincial/overseas nodes starting from 202.97, and international backbone nodes having two to four CN2 nodes starting from 59.43. The degree of congestion on overseas lines is general, slightly stronger than that of 163 backbone networks, and higher cost performance than that of CN2GIA.
2.CN2 GIA
This is the famous star product of China Telecom. It has the highest level in CN2 and belongs to Global Internet Access. The biggest difference between CN2 GT and CN2 GIA is that CN2 GIA has an independent return link. Provincial/overseas/international backbone nodes all start with 59.43, and there is no node beginning with 202.97 in the whole process. It performs best on overseas routes with few congestion, and is theoretically the fastest and most stable. Of course, the price is also higher than CN2GT.
