Use the security group to set Alibaba Cloud and Tencent ECS to disable PING

Although disabling ping cannot solve the security problem, to some extent, it can feed back the wrong information to the software scanning the server, which may avoid some subsequent continuous scanning service IP addresses. Therefore, we can set the server's disable ping function. Of course, disable ping can be set in the server command or directly on the ECS panel with security groups. Here, let's see how Alibaba Cloud and Tencent ECS are set up.

1. Alibaba Cloud settings prohibit ping

Here we can see the ICMP option in the corresponding ECS rules. If you want to disable PING, you can delete this rule. Or the editing policy is prohibited.

2. Tencent Cloud Settings Disable PING

If it is Tencent ECS, we need to add PING rules and set rejection.
