When we built the website, did we often see and hear about the first level domain name, the second level domain name, the third level domain name, and the so-called sub domain name. What do these represent? In this article, Lao Zuo will take a look with you. It will be helpful to our novice webmaster friends who are going to use domain names.
1. Independent domain name
As for the domain name laozuo.org, the original domain name looks like this. This is the main domain name of the domain name. The www.laozuo.org we see is actually a secondary domain name. In fact, it is our common belief that this is a primary domain name, but it is actually a secondary domain name. Just like the soft.laozuo.org we use, it is actually the same secondary domain name as the www domain name.
2. Third level domain name
For example, we can see that soft.disk.laozuo.org is preceded by soft.disk, which belongs to the third level domain name. And so on, for example, level-4 domain names. We also see that the so-called sub domain name is actually added before the first level domain name laozuo.org For prefixes, you can set secondary domain names and tertiary domain names.
3. Domain name selection
If we register our own domain name and build an independent website, we can choose the primary domain name or www's secondary domain name as the main domain name. If we need to use the secondary domain name as the website channel, we can also use the secondary domain name as far as possible. Level 3 domain names are not recommended for use in websites, but can be used for internal testing tasks.
The above is what we mean by the first level domain name, the second level domain name, and the third level domain name. Do you understand?
