A few days ago, Lao Zuo met a netizen who told him that he had not logged in to Vultr account for a long time. He found that the server could not access the project and could not connect, so he wanted to log in to the account. Of course, the account was locked and could not be connected. Finally, we learned from the customer service that this problem happened half a month ago. The server itself or someone else caused the resources to exceed the standard and owe the fees, and then the server was shut down and the account was suspended.
Therefore, we may have a lot of problems. How to solve it? The way that Laozuo often suggests is to set alarm reminders in the background of Vultr.
Here we can set to enable alarm reminder in [Notifications]. If the resources exceed the standard, you can send an email to our account mailbox. In this way, we can also get the latest prompt. Generally, we will be reminded. If we do not deal with it, our account will be suspended.
We can also set flow control. We should know that the default bandwidth of Vultr merchant package is 1G, and the traffic is fixed. If it exceeds, it will be charged separately according to the traffic. If it runs fast, it is really scary to deduct fees.
Therefore, if the traffic of our project is really large, you can set a threshold, for example, when the traffic reaches 99%, you can directly shut down.
Have we learned??
