Guangdong plans to invest more than 60 billion yuan to build 10 water conservancy projects

The Water Resources Department of Guangdong Province introduced that the purpose of the conference was to continuously deepen the reform of the water conservancy investment and financing system and mechanism, strengthen the financing promotion of water conservancy construction projects and the cooperation between government, banks and enterprises, ensure the demand for water conservancy construction funds, jointly seek a win-win situation between water conservancy construction and economic development, and help the high-quality development of water conservancy in Guangdong.

The conference invited representatives of five financial institutions, including China Development Bank, Agricultural Development Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China and Guangdong Branch of China Construction Bank; Representatives of 9 enterprises including China Power Construction Group Co., Ltd. and China State Construction Group Co., Ltd; Representatives of 8 municipal water conservancy (water affairs) bureaus above prefecture level, including Foshan City and Heyuan City, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Guangdong Provincial Water Resources Department signed strategic cooperation agreements with Guangdong Branch of China Construction Bank and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and relevant branches of China Development Bank, Agricultural Development Bank of China and Agricultural Bank of China signed loan intent agreements with project units.

The meeting required that the water conservancy departments at all levels of the province should earnestly assume the main responsibility for promoting investment and financing projects, actively communicate with relevant enterprises, and strive to do a good job in coordination services, so that enterprises can deeply understand projects and master policies. In particular, in terms of project integration, it is necessary to fully promote the investment promotion concept of "whole area and all factor resource integration" to enhance the attractiveness of water conservancy projects to social investors.
