CNBC Global Science and Technology Conference was held in Guangzhou, focusing on AI, new energy vehicle technology innovation

The conference invited business elites, technology pioneers, experts and scholars from all over the world to gather in Nansha to share their experiences and views and promote international scientific and technological exchanges and development in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.

The conference set up 20 fireside talks, including "China's Silicon Valley - the Rise of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area", "Future Energy: Exploration of the Unmanned Driving and New Energy Vehicle Industry", "Using Credible Data to Guide the Sustainable Development of the Navigation Industry".

Wei Min, the executive vice mayor of Nansha District, introduced the development advantages and investment prospects of Nansha. Since this year, Nansha has introduced more than 260 investment projects from Fortune 500 enterprises. The system innovation index of Nansha Free Trade Zone ranks the top three in China, and the investment liberalization index ranks the first for two consecutive years.

"With the increasing scientific and technological power of automobiles, the degree of automobile intellectualization is also getting higher and higher." Gao Rui, the deputy general manager of GAC Group, said at the conference that the group has made achievements in the fields of electrification, intelligence and networking in recent years. Last year, GAC Group added 3255 patent applications, with an additional investment of 6.5 billion yuan (RMB, the same below) in research and development.

Gao Rui revealed that in the future, GAC Group will focus on building three ecosystems: energy technology and energy ecology, intelligent technology and travel ecology, and industrial chain and industrial cluster ecology.

"In the future, we will build a large-scale industry city integration demonstration zone in Nansha Qingsheng Hub to provide a high-quality carrier for scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the Dawan District." Wang Shuhui, vice chairman of Yuexiu Group's Management Consulting and Coordination Committee, disclosed at the conference that the total assets of the Group will exceed 1 trillion yuan in the first half of 2023; Next, the Group will continue to deepen exploration and practice in financial services for the real economy, support scientific and technological innovation in the Bay Area, and practice the concept of sustainable development.

The government of Nansha District said that this conference will build an important cooperation platform for Nansha to accelerate the construction of an international science and technology innovation center in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and a hub node of the Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong Macao Science and Technology Innovation Corridor.
