Why is the water of Qiandao Lake a little "sweet" because of the Asian Games?

BEIJING, Hangzhou, October 16 (Qian Chenfei) Hangzhou Qiandao Lake, which is famous for tourism at home and abroad, recently went out again for the Hangzhou Asian Games. In a few days, there will also be events related to the Hangzhou Asian Paralympic Games.

Qiandao Lake is surrounded by beautiful waters. What kind of experience is it to compete among green waters and green mountains? The contestants of the Hangzhou Asian Games spontaneously praised "the water of Qiandao Lake is a little 'sweet'".

Wu Shutong, the women's 10km champion of the marathon swimming event, said: "The water quality of Qiandao Lake is clear and I enjoy it very much in the race.". Zhang Ziyang, the men's 10km champion of the project, said bluntly, "I actually made a round of replenishment, and all the water I drank directly behind me was lake water. The competition field of Qiandao Lake is excellent."

Why is the water of Qiandao Lake "sweet"? Behind it, the combination of "automatic monitoring+high-altitude patrol" launched by the ecological environment department has contributed a lot.

The water area of Qiandao Lake is equipped with an automatic monitoring system. Provided by Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecological Environment

During the Hangzhou Asian Games, Qiandao Lake undertook a number of water events such as open water swimming and triathlon. In order to effectively ensure the water environment quality of Qiandao Lake and the overall environmental safety of Chun'an Competition Area, Chun'an Branch of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment used modern high and new technology, and through the construction of automatic monitoring network, drone high-altitude inspection, and manual inspection of encrypted water environment, The water environment quality of Chun'an Asian Games area will be fully guaranteed.

It is reported that Chun'an Branch of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecological Environment has set buoys and automatic water quality monitoring analyzers in the waters of the Asian Games, the water intake of the water source area, and the entry section of Xin'an River to monitor the water environment quality of Qiandao Lake in real time. This can significantly reduce manpower mobilization, real-time grasp of water quality, and facilitate timely monitoring and control.

At the same time, in order to ensure that the upstream water does not affect the overall water quality, Chun'an Branch of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment has built and launched an automatic water quality monitoring super station at Jiukengkou, the entry section of Xin'an River. The automatic monitoring covers 63 heavy metal indicators, 121 organics in the targeted monitoring water, and more than 19000 organics in the non targeted monitoring water, which can comprehensively grasp the water quality of the upstream water in real time, Provide important data support to ensure the safety of downstream drinking water.

In order to master the water area situation in an all-round way, the local government has also adopted the way of "air land combination, human-machine combination, and interchange", using drones to patrol high above the ground, and the water area situation can be seen at a glance.

"UAV high-altitude patrol has the characteristics of wide field of vision, good maneuverability and large scope of patrol, which can quickly identify the current situation of the environment, breaking the bottleneck of traditional point monitoring, single walking patrol and incomplete visual detection of problems, and strengthening the application of scientific and technological means in environmental monitoring." The relevant staff of Chun'an Branch of Hangzhou Ecological Environment Bureau introduced. (End)
