At present, digital technology is changing with each passing day. The digital economy characterized by digitalization, networking and intelligence has accelerated a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, and has become a key variable affecting the development of the world economy.

"At present, the world is entering a critical period of rapid development of the real economy, and digital technology and the real economy are ushering in a window period of deep integration." Chen Zhaoxiong, former vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and president of the China Electronic Information Industry Federation, said in his speech that the digital economy is the future direction of global development. In recent years, China's digital economy has remained stable With rapid development, China's digital economy will reach 50 trillion yuan (RMB, the same below) in 2022, accounting for 41.5% of GDP.

The report to the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China stressed that we should accelerate the development of the digital economy and promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy. In order to speed up the "integration of data and reality", Chen Zhaoxiong said that as a bridge between the industry and the government, the federation will build a "industry university research and use" communication and cooperation platform in the field of electronic information, actively serve the industry, promote cross-border cooperation, and promote collaborative innovation and development of the industrial chain.

Manufacturing industry is the main body of the real economy and the main battlefield of technological innovation. Zhou Ji, honorary chairman of the presidium of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said in his keynote speech that intelligent manufacturing is a deep integration of digital economy and real economy, which runs through the whole life cycle of manufacturing industries such as products, production and services. It is necessary to focus on intelligent manufacturing and promote new industrialization.

Zhou Ji cited intelligent cars as an example. In recent years, the rapid development of intelligent cars has exceeded people's expectations. They are experiencing the development process from fuel vehicles to electric vehicles, and then to Internet connected vehicles. At the same time, they are moving towards the direction of driverless cars. In essence, this is to promote the development of manufacturing in the direction of digitalization, networking, and intelligence.

As countries continue to explore new advantages of the digital economy, the "digital divide" and "digital hidden dangers" are also of great concern. Peter Major, Vice Chairman of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development, said at the scene, "The digital economy has contributed greatly to the development of all countries. At the same time, it can be seen that the digital economy has also brought challenges in privacy, security, ethics and other aspects. The international community should jointly explore a fair, secure and inclusive digital economy development model to achieve the goal of sustainable development."

At the meeting, the 2023 China Digital Economy Regional Development Report was released, and Zhejiang, Fujian, Guizhou and other provinces became typical provinces of digital economy development. From the perspective of Zhejiang, the total amount of digital economy in 2022 will reach 4 trillion yuan, ranking first in China in terms of scale.

Ningbo, the seat of the conference, as a strong manufacturing city, is taking the cultivation of digital industrial clusters as a starting point to embrace the new wave of "digital reality integration". For example, in the past four years, Ningbo has successfully established four national industrial clusters in China, including magnetic materials, advanced functional materials, industrial Internet, energy storage and key electronic materials. The average annual growth rate of the added value of the core industries of the digital economy has reached 16.4%.

During the conference, 40 projects will be signed successively, with a total amount of more than 30 billion yuan, involving software information services, new infrastructure, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent applications and other digital economy fields. (End)
