Chongqing police cracked a huge case involving the manufacture and sale of counterfeit and well-known brand clothing worth more than 100 million yuan

In April this year, the Chongqing Public Security Bureau's Anti counterfeiting Corps received reports from many brand enterprises and citizens, saying that people in the business districts of the main city of Chongqing have publicly sold a variety of counterfeit international famous brand sportswear. After receiving the report, the Chongqing Public Security Bureau Anti counterfeiting Corps immediately launched investigation together with the Food, Drug and Environmental Investigation Detachment of the Banan District Public Security Branch.

After visiting 12 shopping districts in Chongqing, the police found that these stores selling "famous brand" sportswear had set up booths in the shopping districts and sold them to the public by means of special sales promotion. Many consumers are attracted to pay because of the "cheap price and preferential quantity".

The police handling the case said that through professional testing, they found that most of these "famous brand" clothes were made of low-grade cloth containing azo dyes, which would cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting and other uncomfortable symptoms if worn for a long time.

During the investigation, the police handling the case found that the trademarks of these "famous brand" clothes were fake and belonged to fake and inferior goods. Clothing is purchased from a city in Guangdong Province, and the daily turnover of the booth will be collected into Wang's bank account. Wang is not limited to "stall" in Chongqing, but also extends "business" to Guizhou and Sichuan.

Through the in-depth exploration of the line patrol, the police handling the case were also associated with the suspects Zhang, Deng and Guan, who were respectively responsible for clothing, ironing, "promotion" and other work. So far, a criminal network integrating production, supply and marketing of counterfeit and well-known brand sportswear has emerged in front of the police.

Since then, the police have accurately mastered the transportation tools, fake manufacturing dens, personnel composition and other conditions of the sales gang by means of tracking and video evidence collection. With the support of the public security organs in Guangdong, Jiangxi, Guizhou and Sichuan, the Public Security Branch of Banan District in Chongqing captured 38 suspects such as Wang, Zhang, Deng, Guan and Wen, and destroyed 26 production, storage and sales black dens and 6 production lines; 60 sets of counterfeit equipment, more than 300000 trademark logos, more than 170000 sets of counterfeit brand clothing, more than 10 tons of semi-finished products and raw materials, and 36 account books were detained.

According to statistics, from 2021 to now, the turnover of the stalls operated by Mr. Wang has reached tens of millions of yuan, involving 18 provinces and cities across the country. The police in Banan have frozen the funds involved in the case of 2.3549 million yuan, estimated the value of the goods seized at the scene to be more than 63 million yuan, and the value of the whole case exceeded 100 million yuan.
