In order to cope with the peak passenger flow, this year's railway Golden Week transportation started on September 27 and ended on October 8, lasting 12 days. It was extended for 2 days before and after the holiday, and the transportation period exceeded the golden week of previous years.

At the same time, the national railway implements the peak operation diagram and increases the input of transport capacity. On the one hand, 320 through passenger trains will be opened across the railway bureau group, including 214 multiple units (including 200 night high-speed trains) and 106 ordinary speed passenger trains. On the other hand, multiple unit operation of multiple units and adding carriages to ordinary speed passenger trains will be adopted to increase passenger seats in popular directions. According to the data, Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Xi'an and other cities will become popular destinations for tourists. In addition, Hangzhou will hold the Asian Games during the National Day Golden Week, which may also become a popular destination for high-speed rail travel. "Historical data shows that the success rate of railway 12306 standby is more than 75%," said Shan Xinghua.

"The summer transport data shows that the daily ticket sales volume of 12306 railway is about 18 million, but the actual passenger delivery volume is only about 14 million, which means that nearly 20% of passengers have the behavior of ticket refund and ticket change." There are not only "traps" such as surcharges and bundled sales services, but also risks of personal information disclosure.
