Four years later, let's form a team to brush the cruise!

Three new cruise ships will be launched successively in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Previously, Disney Cruise Lines had announced the news of two new cruise ships. The new news from D23 was also the third new cruise ship construction order signed between Disney Cruise Lines and Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.

At the same time, the new orders also promote the launch time of new cruise ships. Previously, two new cruise ships were scheduled to be completed in 2021 and 2023 respectively. Now, three new cruise ships will be launched in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

"We think that the two new ships are not enough to accommodate all the exciting new experiences. We have always planned to upgrade the family cruise experience to a new height, so that customers can experience Disney stories, first-class family entertainment activities, and highly imaginative and interesting Disney style new projects." Bob Chapek, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, said, "When three new ships set sail, our fleet size will also be nearly doubled."

At present, there are four Disney cruise ships on the way. The smaller Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are sister ships, which can carry 2713 passengers. They were put into use in 1998 and 1999 respectively. The larger cruise ships, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, which can carry 4000 passengers, made their maiden voyage in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

The Disney Magic is in Port Miami.

The Disney Wonder is on Oahu, Hawaii.

Both Dream and Fantasy use Canaveral Port as their home port throughout the year, while Magic and Wonder have no fixed home port. They shuttle between various ports, including Canaveral Port, Miami Port, Galveston, and some port cities in Alaska and Europe. However, where the new ship is planned to be deployed has not been announced yet.

In fact, there is no other details disclosed except that each of the three new ships has a displacement of 135000 gross tons. They will be slightly larger than Dream and Fantasy with 130000 gross tonnage, but the number of rooms is expected to be 1250. Chabbock also mentioned that the names of the three ships have not yet been decided, but there is no doubt that they will all provide unique services.

As stricter marine emission regulations come into force, the three cruise ships will also use the cleanest energy in the industry - liquefied natural gas as fuel.

The new cruise ship will not be completed until at least four years later, and since 2013, the four cruise ships currently in service have all undergone thorough renovation. The latest is the upgrading of the dry dock of Fantasy, which was completed in May this year. A new theme area of Star Wars and Marvel was set up for Ocean Club. At the same time, an ice cream and candy store and the first Tiffany store were added on the ship.

Disney Cruise Line also enriched the stage performances of cruise lines, launching the musical "Magic" and "Ice and Snow" on Magic and Wonder respectively, and the new performance "Beauty and the Beast" on Dream this fall.
