At nine weeks' gestation, the "baby" was not in the uterus but in the abdominal cavity. This rare pregnancy, only one in ten thousand, happened to Ms. Shen in Shexian County, Hebei Province.

Ms. Shen is 30 years old this year. When she was pregnant for about 2 months, there was no obvious inducement for a small amount of vaginal bleeding. Ms. Shen had a B-ultrasound examination in the local hospital, and the results showed that the fetus that should have been in the uterine cavity was located in the abdominal cavity, which is commonly known as ectopic pregnancy, and it is an extremely rare abdominal pregnancy. So, at the suggestion of the local hospital, she hurried to Shijiazhuang Maternity Hospital for treatment. Bai Fenglou, honorary vice president of the hospital and director of the department of gynecology, diagnosed Ms. Shen as a very rare primary abdominal pregnancy. After surgical treatment, Ms. Shen has gradually recovered and successfully discharged from hospital.

So, what is abdominal pregnancy? Abdominal pregnancy mostly means that the embryo or fetus is located in the abdominal cavity outside the fallopian tube, ovary and broad ligament. The incidence rate is about 1:15000, the maternal mortality rate is about 5%, and the fetal survival rate is only 1%. Therefore, if the disease is detected early, it should be treated in time. It is understood that the typical symptoms of abdominal pregnancy include abdominal pain, menopause, vaginal bleeding, internal bleeding, abdominal discomfort, etc. Patients with intraperitoneal pregnancy during pregnancy will have early pregnancy reaction, and most of the medical history has symptoms of abortion or rupture of tubal pregnancy. When the fetus moves, pregnant women often feel abdominal pain. As the fetus grows up, the symptoms gradually worsen. Syncope may also occur in patients with severe pregnancy.

Experts suggest that women of childbearing age should do the following to prevent abdominal pregnancy: develop good health habits, pay attention to menstrual hygiene, and prevent reproductive system infection; Clean oneself, prevent unclean sexual behavior, do a good job in contraception, reduce the number of induced abortions, thus reducing the chance of pelvic infection; Do not smoke or drink alcohol; Actively treating gynecological diseases such as endometriosis and paying attention to pre pregnancy and post pregnancy inspection can also effectively reduce the incidence of abdominal pregnancy; After the use of ovulation inducing drugs, when it is suspected of early pregnancy, or after the success of assisted pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy and compound pregnancy should be excluded in time.
