"Young mothers like to dress their children in beautiful clothes, especially clothes with rivets, sequins, beads and other accessories. Little did they know that these clothes have potential safety hazards."

Last Friday, A Zhen (a pseudonym), who was more than 3 years old, put a bead the size of a soybean into his nostril when playing with his classmates in the kindergarten, causing bleeding in the nostril. Fortunately, after the incident, the bead was found and taken out by the mother, Ms. Wang, without serious consequences for the child.

Big soybean beads stuffed into nostrils

According to Ms. Wang, she went to the kindergarten to pick up her son A Zhen last Friday and found that his nose was always bleeding and stuffy. She asked her son to raise his head. When she looked into his nostrils, she found a hard object in his nostrils. After several efforts, she finally took out the hard object in her son's nose and found it was a purple bead the size of a soybean.

How could the son put beads in his nose? A Zhen said that when he played with his classmates, he put the bead into his nostrils. At first, he didn't feel anything. Later, he had a stuffy nose and picked it with his fingers. Unexpectedly, he not only didn't buckle the bead out, but also pulled out blood.

It is the accessory bead of students' clothes

According to the teacher of the kindergarten concerned, on the day of the incident, a female student in the class came to school wearing a dress with small beads. Meanwhile, the small beads on the student's clothes fell off. The teacher suspected that after the beads were scattered on the ground, they were seen by Ah Zhen and stuffed into his nose.

When Ms. Wang learned about this, she immediately sent a reminder to the parents: I hope parents will carefully check every child's ears and nose to prevent accidents; Each parent should carefully check whether children's clothes and schoolbags contain similar small beads, bright gold pieces and other small items. If it is found, please clean it up in time to eliminate potential safety hazards; Finally, in order to be safe, please don't let children wear clothes with small accessories such as pearls, rubber diamonds and so on to school. Because children over 3 years old are curious. When children wear this kind of clothes to school, they will certainly pull out these pearls, rubber diamonds and other trinkets from their clothes to play. If you are not careful, these trinkets may be put into your nose, ears and other organs, which may bring danger to children.

   Don't dress children with trinkets

In response, the reporter interviewed doctors and experienced kindergarten teachers in the hospital.

Chen, a teacher who has been engaged in preschool education for more than 10 years, said that parents should be careful to buy hoodies for children in kindergartens. They should not wear clothes with beads, diamonds and other trinkets for children. They should not wear shoes with shoelaces for children to go to kindergartens, nor should they wear any hanging parts for children Valuables, jewelry and dangerous goods (such as knives, pills, nails, small particles, nail cones, glass beads, etc.) enter the park. If there are some clothes with head ropes in the baby's wardrobe, please cut them with scissors, or take out the rope completely. These small items have potential safety hazards for children.

Doctor Wang, a pediatrician in Houjie Hospital, said that every year, the hospital receives cases of children swallowing foreign bodies by mistake. "The beads, diamonds or sequins on children's clothes are not very adhesive. Some children will pick up these beads, diamonds or sequins because of curiosity." Many children will also hold these small objects in their mouths for fun, which is very easy to eat into the stomach, causing danger.

Dr. Wang reminded the public that children are very curious and will put some small things into their mouth, nose, ears and other organs. Parents should enhance their awareness of prevention and not let children play with small things, including toys containing small parts. Once a foreign body is found stuck in a child's organ, it should be sent to the doctor in time. If it is not taken out in time, it may seriously endanger the child's life.
