The State Administration of Taxation issued the Report on the Development of China's Tax and Business Environment (2013-2022)

The State Administration of Taxation today released the Report on the Development of China's Tax Business Environment (2013-2022). The report shows that over the past ten years, China has continued to streamline its tax procedures, deeply participated in global tax governance, and created a good tax business environment for high-level opening up.

The report shows that in the past ten years, the tax department has made and issued announcements for many times in order to simplify the tax handling process, reduce the tax handling link, and realize the whole process online handling of tax administrative licensing matters. In terms of promoting more convenient tax payment, 61 tax certification items have been cancelled successively, and 6 tax certification items have implemented the notification and commitment system. The vast majority of tax preferences have achieved "self judgment, declaration and enjoyment, and relevant data retention for future reference".

Shen Xinguo, Director of the Tax Service Department of the State Administration of Taxation: In terms of promoting more direct tax preference, we have established 4219 tax label systems in 9 categories and 4 levels and an accurate push mechanism to precisely push tax preference policies, benefiting more than 1 billion taxpayers.

The report shows that over the past decade, China has actively created an open and inclusive international tax business environment, actively participated in the formulation and adjustment of the international tax rule system in terms of in-depth participation in global tax governance, and jointly cracked down on cross-border tax evasion. At the same time, the network of tax treaties has been continuously expanded. At present, it has signed agreements on the avoidance of double taxation with 112 countries and regions, playing an active role in the avoidance of double taxation.
