West Hong Kong SAR Company and Bank of China (Hong Kong) Phnom Penh Branch signed the "China Cambodia Bilateral Currency Promotion Cooperation Agreement"

On October 17, the "Belt and Road" Entrepreneurs Conference, co sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce, was grandly held. As the opening event of the third "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum, the conference was large in scale and high-level, and attracted wide attention. Zhou Haijiang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Red Bean Group, and Chen Jiangang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Xigang Special Zone Company were invited to attend the meeting. At the meeting, Chen Jiangang also signed the "China Cambodia Bilateral Currency Promotion Cooperation Agreement" with Liu Daozhi, President of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Phnom Penh Branch on behalf of the West Hong Kong Special Economic Zone Company, which is an innovative measure for banks and enterprises to carry out practical cooperation under the "Belt and Road" framework to support the development of the real economy.

Sihanouk Port Special Economic Zone is jointly developed and constructed by Red Bean Group and Chinese and Cambodian enterprises. It is the only national economic and trade cooperation zone between China and Cambodia that has signed bilateral government agreements and established bilateral sub ministerial coordination mechanisms, and is committed to building a transnational investment platform for enterprises around the world. After 15 years of development and construction, 175 enterprises (institutions) from China, Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions have been introduced, creating nearly 30000 jobs, contributing 7.13% of Cambodia's total import and export volume, which was evaluated by President Xi Jinping as "the model of China Cambodia practical cooperation", Former Cambodian Prime Minister Prince Hun Sen praised it as "a model of fruitful cooperation between Cambodia and China on the Belt and Road".

In September this year, Cambodian Prime Minister Hon Manet successfully visited China. In the Joint Communiqu é issued by China and Cambodia, he once again mentioned the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, pointing out that it is necessary to "give full play to the role of China Cambodia production capacity and investment cooperation mechanism, focus on Cambodia's vision of building a multi-functional economic demonstration area in Sihanoukville Province, and jointly carry out research on Cambodia's' industrial development corridor '. Relying on projects such as Sihanoukville Port Special Economic Zone and Phnom Penh Xigang Expressway, more powerful Chinese enterprises will be attracted to increase investment in Cambodia ".
