Punycode encoding/decoding

Punycode is a coding system formulated according to RFC 3492 standard, which is mainly used to convert domain names from Unicode codes used in local languages to codes that can be used in the DNS system. Punycode can prevent IDN spoofing.

Internationalized domain name IDNs

The early DNS (Domain Name System) only supports English domain name resolution. After the introduction of IDNs (internationalized domain names), in order to ensure compatibility with the previous DNS, the punycode transcoding of IDNs is performed. The punycode after transcoding is composed of 26 letters+10 numbers and "-".

Browser support for punycode

At present, because the core of the operating system is English, and the resolution of the DNS server is also English code exchange, the DNS server does not support direct Chinese domain name resolution. All Chinese domain name resolution needs to be converted to the punycode code, and then the punycode code is resolved by DNS. In fact, at present, all kinds of browsers perfectly support Chinese domain names, but the browser software actively adds automatic transcoding of Chinese domain names, which does not require the original re installation of Chinese domain name transcoding controls to complete the entire process.

It is completely free. Bidirectional conversion of Chinese domain name transcoding is to convert Chinese strings into punycode standard encoded strings.

This service currently supports the mutual conversion of GBK, GB2312 code and punycode code.

The domain name string does not allow punctuation other than "-", including spaces. It can be mixed with Chinese and English. You can enter full width English letters, which are not case sensitive.
