The Yangtze River is the mother river of the Chinese nation, an important birthplace of Chinese civilization, and an important support for the sustainable development of the Chinese nation. Promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is a major decision made by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, and a major strategy that concerns the overall development of the country.
Many celebrities, but also look at today. In the new era, we will jointly paint the beauty of the Yangtze River, and all provinces and cities along the river will implement the requirements of "jointly focusing on major protection and not engaging in major development", and take the road of ecological priority and green development. The mighty Yangtze River flows down from the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, from Bashu to Jingchu, and then from Wuyue to the sea. It is a golden waterway carrying the hope of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, carrying the nostalgia of the past generations, and has been running from ancient times to today.
In the new era, Hubei Province, located at the "waist of the Yangtze River", with its unique strategic location in the regional development pattern, has thoroughly implemented the important strategic thinking of General Secretary Xi Jinping on promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, done a good job in ecological restoration, environmental protection and green development, and promoted the scientific, orderly and high-quality development of the Hubei Yangtze River Economic Belt.
"It is necessary to properly handle the relationship between development and protection, current and long-term, addition and subtraction, and temporary and permanent solutions." At this year's two sessions of the National People's Congress, Jiang Chaoliang, deputy to the National People's Congress and secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, explained the profound connotation of the Yangtze River protection to more than 150 Chinese and foreign journalists from 68 media around the world.
The East Lake Park in Wuhan is very popular in autumn. The East Lake Greenway, which stretches more than 100 kilometers, has become the first choice for Wuhan citizens and tourists from other places to play outdoors. With the same popularity, the golden waterway of the Yangtze River presents another scene: cargo ships arriving from the urban agglomeration along the Yangtze River rely on the new multimodal transport network, making Hubei, once the "thoroughfare of nine provinces", gradually move towards the "thoroughfare of nine states" and become a new highland of opening up to the outside world.
"Ecological environment protection and economic development are not contradictory relations, but dialectical and unified relations." General Secretary Xi Jinping's words were resounding when he visited Hubei and the Yangtze River in April this year. Bearing in mind the entrustment of General Secretary Xi Jinping, in August, Hubei issued ten strategic measures for the green development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, 58 major events, 91 major projects, and a total investment of 1.3 trillion yuan... Walking in the riverside park in Yichang, Hubei, pine trees, plum flowers, asparagus can be seen everywhere, green grass and red flowers add radiance to each other, and against the blue sky, a beautiful autumn riverside scene is looming. Looking along the embankment, a wide green landscape belt with verdant vegetation comes into view. It's hard to believe without looking at the old photos that the current Xingfa Group Yichang New Material Industrial Park used to be a row of riverside plants.

At one time, there were thousands of kilometers of chemical pipelines along the Yangtze River on the coastline of more than 200 kilometers of Yichang section of the Yangtze River in Hubei Province, and Yichang's first industry with an output value of more than 100 billion yuan was formed. In 2016, Yichang made up its mind to declare a war on "chemical industry surrounding the river": all chemical enterprises within one kilometer of the river were "cleared" in three years. Wuhan has retreated from the Yangtze River coastline and restored the green river beach. The newly built shelter forest, such as a pair of green ribbons winding along the river, has greatly improved and restored the ecological environment of the Yangtze River. The thunderbolt of Wuhan and Yichang is just a microcosm of the "joint efforts to protect and not to develop" in Jingchu.
Hubei's action to renovate the Yangtze River coastline has shocked the whole country. In one year, 367 illegal wharves on the Yangtze River trunk line were resolutely banned, and a batch of wharves were standardized and upgraded, with 143km of coastline vacated. In another year, all the wharves completed renovation were restored to green, covering an area of 5.65 million square meters, and the scenery of green banks and clean water reappeared in the Yangtze River. Jiang Chaoliang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, said that we should thoroughly implement the important strategic thinking of General Secretary Xi Jinping on promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, do a good job in "three articles" of ecological restoration, environmental protection and green development, and promote the scientific, orderly and high-quality development of the Hubei Yangtze River Economic Belt.

The province invested 495.9 billion yuan a year in the "ten thousand trillion enterprises" technological transformation project, with a year-on-year growth of 61.1%; A large number of key projects, such as the national memory base and CSOT, have strengthened the green industry; Smart economy, sharing economy, etc. foster new driving forces and expand green industries.
"The ecological environment is the greatest competitiveness facing the future. We must wear 'new shoes', follow the' green path ', retain green waters and mountains with environmental governance, and win gold and silver mountains with green development." Wang Xiaodong, governor of Hubei Province, said in his government work report at the first meeting of the 13th People's Congress of Hubei Province.
Green waters and green mountains bring golden mountains and silver mountains. The high-quality ecological environment has not only brought about "porpoise leaping and Chinese sturgeon migrating", but also attracted a large number of emerging industries to settle in Hubei. The picture of "one cloud mountain and one city" like Yichang is unfolding like an ecological scroll in Jingchu.
