On the evening of the 17th, CBA announced the punishment results for the offenders of the Jiushi Basketball Team of Shanghai Jiushi Shark Club ("Shanghai Jiushi Team" for short) and the BAIC Basketball Team of Beijing Shougang Thunderbolt Duck Club ("Beijing BAIC Team" for short), and up to 8 people from both sides received tickets.

On the 16th, in the 12th and 8th stage of the 2023-24 CBA League playoffs, the Shanghai Jiushi team defeated the Beijing BAIC team to enter the next round.

The announcement said that Fang Shuo, a player of Beijing BAIC Motor Team, was emotional after being fouled when the game was 9 minutes and 48 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Then Dai Hao, a player of Shanghai Jiushi Team, rushed to Fang Shuo, and the two sides reached out and pushed each other, causing an escalation of the situation.

Since then, in the process of conflict handling by the referee on the spot, the BAIC players Zeng Fanbo, Fan Yiming, Zhu Yanxi and Zhai Xiaochuan left the team seat without the referee's permission, entered the playing field in violation of regulations and disturbed the game order.

The punishment letter said that the above personnel's behavior had a negative impact on CBA League. According to the relevant provisions of the Discipline Rules of China Men's Basketball Professional League, the punishment results are as follows:

Dai Hao, a player of Shanghai Jiushi Team, was suspended for two games and fined 50000 yuan;

Fang Shuo, a player of Beijing BAIC Motor Team who violated the rules for the second time this season, was suspended for two games and fined 100000 yuan;

Zeng Fanbo, Fan Yiming, Zhu Yanxi and Zhai Xiaochuan of Beijing BAIC Motor Team were suspended for one match and fined 20000 yuan respectively;

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the responsible person system for the competition style and discipline of the CBA League this season, and the fact that Shanghai Jiushi Team and Beijing Beiqi Team have committed violations on the playing field this season, Liu Peng, the head coach of Shanghai Jiushi Team, and Zhang Yunsong, the first responsible person of Beijing Shougang Club, will be fined 20000 yuan respectively.

According to the above punishment results, Dai Hao will be absent from the first two games of the next round of the playoffs (8 into 4) of Shanghai Jiushi Team. Since all the games of BAIC team this season have ended, the suspension of the above BAIC team players will be postponed to the regular season of the next season.
