From 13 to 4 August, heavy rainfall occurred in most areas of Chongqing. According to meteorological data, the maximum rainfall in Beibei District of Chongqing was 150 mm from 14 August 3 to 14 August 4, followed by 137 mm in Banan District, 135 mm in Jiangbei District, 115 mm in Yubei District and 103 mm in Bishan County.
The rainstorm caused serious human and economic losses. Chongqing Flood Control Office reported that as of 16:00 p.m. on the 4th, the statistics showed that 167 townships in 13 districts and counties in the west of Chongqing, including Tongnan, Dazu, Tongliang, Beibei, Banan, Qijiang, Jiangjin, Zhongxian, Wanzhou, Changshou, Jiangbei, Bishan and Hechuan, were affected to varying degrees, with the affected population rising to 877000, and 3 people died, Four people were missing, with a direct economic loss of 410 million yuan.

More than 80000 people were affected by the rising water level of several rivers in Guizhou
On the 3rd, 19 counties (cities) and 39 townships in Guizhou were hit by torrential rain, of which three counties and two townships were hit by torrential rain. The 1-hour rainfall in Jinpen Township, Shuicheng County was 101.9 mm. On the 4th, heavy rain continued to fall in some areas of Guizhou, with heavy rain of more than 100mm in some areas, including 124mm in Zhenning County, 112mm in Liuzhi Special Zone, 103mm in Renhuai City, 101mm in Chishui and 100mm in Dafang County.
According to the Guizhou Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, the water level of Chishui River, Wujiang River, Beipan River and other main rivers and tributaries in Guizhou Province rose due to heavy rainfall, but no flood beyond the warning level occurred. According to preliminary statistics, this heavy rainfall has affected more than 87000 people in 13 counties (cities and districts) of 4 cities (prefectures) in Guizhou, including Liupanshui, Zunyi, Anshun and Bijie. The affected area of crops is 47000 hectares, 69 houses collapsed, and the direct economic loss is more than 23.2 million yuan.

At the beginning of August, the fourth regional rainstorm of this year occurred in Sichuan Basin. From August 2 to 3, due to the influence of high-altitude trough, heavy rain fell in Dazhou, Bazhong, Nanchong, Guang'an, Suining, Neijiang, Luzhou and other places in the east and south of the basin, and in some places. According to the rainfall analysis from 20:00 on August 2 to 07:00 on August 4, 195 stations (densified automatic stations) had accumulated rainfall of 50~99.9 mm, and 30 stations had accumulated rainfall of more than 100 mm. The maximum accumulated rainfall occurred in Pengxi Group in Suining was 167.8 mm.
On August 3, heavy rainfall still occurred in some areas of Sichuan. From 14:00 on August 3 to 14:00 on August 4, the rainfall in Xuyong County and Xingwen County in eastern Sichuan reached 141mm and 119mm respectively.
