1、 What to do when driving in a rainstorm?

Now many people like to drive by themselves, but they are most afraid of encountering some bad weather problems. What should we do if we encounter rainstorm? Experts told us that when driving in heavy rain, due to the reduced visibility, slippery ground, and sometimes severe weather such as thunder and strong wind, we should:

1. Turn on the car lights, hold the steering wheel, drive carefully, pay attention to pedestrians, drive at low speed, and use the brake carefully. Because of the low adhesion coefficient of the tire, the braking distance will be longer, which is very prone to accidents.

2. In case of heavy rain, do not drive at risk, and choose a higher safety zone for parking.

3. If you are unfamiliar with the road conditions and do not know the depth of the ponding, do not let the car wade easily.

4. Do not accelerate rapidly, as the splashed rainwater is easily absorbed by the intake pipe, causing damage. Slow down as much as possible and drive carefully with low throttle.

5. When it thunders, close the doors and windows and stay in the car.

6. If the car is accidentally turned off due to water ingress, it must not be started again, otherwise the engine will be "reimbursed". Instead, contact the insurance company as soon as possible and notify the 4S store for help. You can also ask passers-by to help you push the car out of the water and repair it as soon as possible.

7. If you need to drive in an emergency and have to drive in case of rainstorm, you should take necessary protective measures: first remove the air filter or lift the intake hose, or connect the exhaust pipe with a rubber hose. Keep the air inlet and outlet of the car away from the water surface as far as possible to reduce the possibility of water ingress into the engine.

8. When driving, try to avoid the water waves generated by the other side when the other side is driving. If necessary, stop to let the other side's car pass first.

9. When the flooded height reaches the wheel radius, try to avoid letting the car wade. Use the method of low gear, less fuel, slow and uniform driving.

2、 How to deal with thunderstorms when traveling

Wear rain gear immediately in case of rain. Don't leave it out because the rain is light. It's too late to wear rain gear when you get soaked! Rain gear should always be placed in a convenient place, such as the side bag, top bag or top of the main bag of the backpack.

No matter how much backpack manufacturers boast about the waterproof property of their products, it is necessary to add a waterproof cover outside the backpack. The clothes and sleeping bags in the backpack should be wrapped with waterproof bags or plastic bags. The hard shell fresh-keeping box can be used to hold fragile and damp proof food, medicine, film or matches and other sundries. The map must be protected from being wet by rain, and should be placed in a place where it is easy to take, such as a raincoat pocket or a backpack top pocket.

The possibility of being struck by lightning in a thunderstorm is very small, but it is better to be careful when the weather is unpredictable. The following points are critical in thunderstorms:

1. Do not shelter from thunderstorms under boulders, cliffs and mountain entrances. When electric current passes through these places, it will produce an arc and injure the rain shelters. If the cave is very deep, you can try to hide in it.

2. Don't ride a bike or a horse in a thunderstorm, let alone fly a kite. Flying a kite in the rain will lead to lightning strikes.

3. Don't hide in an isolated hut in the wilderness. Clusters of buildings are good places for lightning protection.

4. Leave the highland and do not shelter from the rain under the trees.

5. The interior of a car is an ideal place to avoid lightning strikes. Even if lightning strikes a car, it rarely hurts people.

6. If you are swimming or in a small boat, you should go ashore immediately. Even on large ships, hide under the deck and do not touch any metal objects.

3、 How to prevent mountain torrents

In a short period of time, the torrential rains in a region will cause the river to rise violently, overflow the dam, submerge farmland and villages, and destroy roads

Bridges and houses are flood disasters.

How to save yourself in case of flood?

l. Under the threat of flood, if there is enough time, it should be transferred to the hillside, highland and other places in an organized way according to the predetermined route; In case of being caught unprepared and surrounded by flood, try to use boats, rafts, door panels, wooden beds, etc. for water diversion.

2. When the flood comes too fast to be transferred, immediately climb on the roof, tall buildings, trees, and walls to take temporary refuge and wait for rescue. Don't swim alone.

3. In mountainous areas, mountain torrents are easy to break out if it rains heavily. In this case, attention should be paid to avoiding crossing the river to prevent it from being washed away by mountain torrents, and also to preventing damage from landslides, rolling stones and debris flows.

4. It is found that the high-voltage wire tower is toppled, the wire is low or broken; Keep away from danger and do not touch or approach to prevent electric shock.

5. After the flood, take anti epidemic drugs, do a good job in hygiene and epidemic prevention, and avoid infectious diseases.
