Seven types of "inflammation" can lead to premature delivery

Inflammation is caused by viral or bacterial infection. Generally, viruses and bacteria are not transmitted from mother to baby through placenta, but measles, toxoplasmosis and listeriosis may infect the fetus. The fetus may also be infected by maternal inflammation (such as nephritis), resulting in premature delivery.

1. Urinary tract infection

If you suffer from urinary tract infection, you will have frequent urination, burning pain in urine, and abdominal pain.

If the treatment is not timely, symptoms such as hematuria and high fever will occur. Inflammation should be treated with antibiotics in time. Delayed illness will worsen to nephritis, which can cause abortion or premature delivery.

2. Gangrene

It is a superficial ulcer around the mouth caused by bacterial infection. It is a common ailment and does no harm to the human body. The main symptoms were itching and white secretion. If pregnant women have this symptom, they can apply some ointment or oral suppository, or put honey or yogurt on the ulcer.

3. Toxoplasmosis

The disease usually has no symptoms or mild cold symptoms. If the pregnant woman is infected with the disease, she should go to the hospital to check whether the fetus is infected. If missed diagnosis, it may cause miscarriage or stillbirth, or even make the newborn suffer from mental illness or blindness.

  4. Listeriosis

Its symptoms are similar to those of influenza and gastroenteritis. If the pregnant woman is diagnosed with this disease, measures should be taken to induce labor, because this disease will lead to premature delivery, abortion or stillbirth. Because the induced labor fetus is less than months old and has poor resistance, it may be easy to get sick. Therefore, antibiotics should be injected to prevent sepsis or meningitis.

  5. Rubella

At present, this disease is rare in pregnancy. Rubella can cause fetal brain and heart defects, deafness, cataract, etc. If infected during pregnancy, most fetuses will also be infected.

  6. Smallpox

If the mother suffers from smallpox during pregnancy, it will cause lung infection or pneumonia, but the chances of the fetus being infected are very small.

  7. Herpes

The disease is characterized by blisters inside and outside the vagina with pain. If the disease occurs during pregnancy and for the first time, and there are ulcers during delivery, curettage should be taken to avoid infecting the newborn, because the disease will damage the brain.
