What is taking the subway without pants

"Take the subway without pants" has been carried out for 9 years this year, and has gradually become popular around the world. On January 10, the 9th "Take the subway without pants" activity was held in 16 countries, including about 3000 participants in New York alone. This activity was initiated by an organization called "Improve Everywhere", which is rooted in New York. The activity has no purpose and no meaning, just a simple "create some amazing moments, so that participants can talk about their actions in the rest of their lives".

At 12 o'clock yesterday afternoon, about 20 young men and women boarded a subway from Guangzhou Line 2 Wanshengwei Station.

Shortly after sitting down, some people began to take off their pants, and others followed suit. Then, this group of young men and women wearing only boxer shorts and casual shorts began to immerse themselves in reading magazines, newspapers, listening to MP3 players, chatting... Every few stops, they wandered from one compartment to another, and so on

At 12:50, this group of young men and women got off the bus at the memorial hall station. The group walked to the "countdown board for the Asian Games" on the platform, took a group photo happily, and scattered with smiles.

This is the Guangzhou version of "taking the subway without trousers".

What pants should I wear

Jenny, a tall and lively beauty, was one of the participants in "taking the subway without trousers" yesterday. She first saw the US version of the event on the Internet and thought it was very interesting. So when she saw a call from Guangzhou to "play", she immediately signed up.

"I didn't think too much, but I thought it would be fun and happy, so I came here." Jenny said that she mobilized many friends and colleagues to participate, but unfortunately, there are not many beautiful girls who are really as bold as her. "I was the last participant to attend, not afraid, but I thought for a long time at home, and I didn't know what pants to wear." She first chose a pair of jeans hot pants, feeling too conservative; I also chose a pair of trousers with flat feet, and felt that they were too short; Finally, I chose a pair of pink super short pajamas for home use.

Unlike many participants, Jenny didn't stick "Low carbon economy is the earth's antipyretic medicine", "I love the Asian Games" on her bag, nor did she hang "so hot", "Low carbon welcomes the Asian Games" and other environmental protection slogans on her body. She just came to play: "I didn't want to promote anything, but I really felt happy, very happy, and was in line with international standards."

People in Guangzhou are not surprised

When this group of young men and women with an average age of less than 30 began to take off their pants in the relatively empty train, it really aroused the curiosity of passengers. They looked at this crazy act with doubts in their eyes: "At first, they were shocked, but later they saw some of them holding the Asian Games and low-carbon billboards, and they knew that it was a show." A young male passenger said calmly: "They are imitating the activity without pants in foreign countries."

With more and more passengers on the bus, young men and women who "don't wear pants" attract less and less attention. Many passengers don't even notice it. Most passengers just take a look at it, and very few people who appreciate beautiful women's legs will take out their mobile phones to take a picture. "It's totally different from what I imagined. I was under a lot of psychological pressure at first. I thought that I would be treated as a psychopath by others, and maybe there would be a picture of scaring people away, but..." Jenny said a little disappointed. "As you can see, the psychological endurance of Guangzhou people is very good, so it's no surprise."

Hope to expand the scale next year

Liang Shuxin, the organizer of the Guangzhou version of "Take the subway without pants", said that the event was very successful: "We are the first in China. Although there were only 20 people here, less than I expected, we were very successful when only seven people participated in the first year of the event in the United States. In addition, foreign events were purely for entertainment purposes, and we also successfully promoted the Asian Games and environmental protection."

Liang Shuxin first posted a report on the overseas "Take the subway without trousers" activity on his microblog. Later, he tried to launch it. When he saw the response, he thought it could be done. So we set up a QQ group and began to formally organize this activity.

Before the event, everyone was most worried about whether they would be caught: "We expected that when we first took off our pants, we would be seen by the monitoring of the carriage, and there would be staff to drive us away. But this fear did not happen."

In view of this, Liang Shuxin decided to continue to launch this activity next year, and with this first successful experience, he hopes that 100 people will attend next year. (By Huang Lina from Yangcheng Evening News/Song Jinyu from Yangcheng Evening News)
