Cambridge IELTS 18 Test3 Part 1 Analysis of Listening Answers
Answer to question 1: Marrowfield
Corresponding original text: Is that M-A double R-O-W-F-1-E-L-D?
Answer analysis: check the spelling of names. Although using double set a small barrier, because the speaking speed is very slow, it basically belongs to the question of giving points.
Answer to question 2: relative
Corresponding original text: I was talking to a relative the other day and he suggested it.
Answer analysis: Breda asked Dan if he saw the club on the Internet, but Dan denied that he heard it from his relatives, so he determined that relative was the correct answer.
Answer to question 3: socialize/socialise
Corresponding original text: Well, I also like to socialise with other photographers.
Answer analysis: I heard that competitions realized that the answer was coming. From the question stem, I can infer that a verb should be filled in the blank, and it was the purpose of joining the club. Therefore, I decided to socialize as the correct answer.
Answer to question 4: full
Corresponding original text: It's 30 pounds a year for full membership
Answer analysis: whether from the choice given by Breda (mentioned 30 pounds on the question stem) or from Dan's answer, you can determine that the type of member you want is full.
Answer to question 5: Domestic Life
Corresponding original text: Well, the theme was titled‘ Domestic Life’.
Answer analysis: It is not difficult to locate the answer to this question. The difficulty is that the word "domestic" may exceed the vocabulary accumulation of some students. It means domestic, family, household, etc.
Answer to question 6: clouds
The instructions were to capture the clouds as well
Answer analysis: Hear beautiful sunsets and realize that the answer is coming. Although the correspondence between capture and show is not easy to identify, it is still easy to lock clouds according to the part of speech and sentence meaning of the old roast duck IELTS.
Answer to question 7: timing
Corresponding original text: I see So the timing wasn’t right.
Answer analysis: Dan described the reason why he didn't win the prize, but his words didn't contain any words with proper semantics. Breda then made a conclusion that not right corresponds to wrong, so locking timing is the correct answer.
Answer to question 8: Animal magic
And then the third competition I entered was called‘ Animal Magic ‘ .
Answer analysis: the third competition prompts that the answer is coming. Called corresponds to single quotation marks, so the unit is animal magic.
Answer to question 9: (animal) moveme
Corresponding original text: That's what we had to show – there had to be some movement in the scene.
Answer analysis: put the unprecedented scene behind the answer by reversing the word order, to test your short-term memory.
Answer to question 10: Dark
I prospected that it was a bit dark , which is what I was told.
Answer analysis: It can be inferred from the question stem that the space should be filled with an adjective, and it is the defect of the picture, so lock the dark.
