People's Daily Online, Beijing, June 11 (reporter Qiao Xuefeng) The reporter learned from the North China Air Traffic Control Bureau that during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday in 2021, the capital and Daxing airports plan to have 5370 inbound and outbound flights. Among them, Capital Airport plans to have 3000 inbound and outbound flights, 1000 daily inbound and outbound flights, Daxing Airport plans to have 2370 inbound and outbound flights, and 790 daily inbound and outbound flights.

The relevant person in charge of North China Air Traffic Control Bureau said in an interview that during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the passenger flow of the Capital Airport and Daxing Airport was mainly short and medium distance business, tourism and family visits, and the passenger flow was mainly concentrated in Beijing Shanghai, Beijing Chengdu, Beijing Kunming and other traditional business tourism routes.

"North China Air Traffic Control has formulated an air traffic control support plan in advance for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, optimized air traffic control support measures, and improved air traffic control support capability." The above person in charge said that North China Air Traffic Control will take measures such as coordinating the opening of temporary airspace, increasing control sectors, and optimizing the on duty force to ensure the safety of air traffic control operations during festivals.

According to the person in charge, during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday this year, the weather at the Capital and Daxing airports is mainly cloudy, which is airworthy and suitable for passengers to travel by air. Severe weather, such as thunderstorms and short-term heavy rainfall, will occur in Jianghuai, Jianghan, the coastal areas of South China and the eastern part of Southwest China, which will affect the normal operation of flights to some extent. During the short and long holidays, the passenger travel is relatively concentrated, and the weather conditions throughout the country are complex. On the last day of the holiday, the northwest region will usher in a heavy rainfall process, which may have some impact on the return flight operation. "It is recommended that passengers pay close attention to weather changes and flight information, and reasonably arrange travel plans."
