Guangzhou University
On March 3, 1927,Chen Bingquan、Jin Zengcheng, Wang Zhiyuan and others founded the private Guangzhou University.The school motto is "erudite and practical".At the beginning of its establishment, private Guangzhou University set up a school of arts, a law school and a preparatory course.[3]
In 1928, Guangzhou University accepted the private Guangzhou Women's Middle School and set up an affiliated middle school department. In August 1930, the old police station in Dongheng Street was purchased and transformed into a university building.

In 1958, Guangdong was officially established in August 1958 to meet the urgent need of teachers for the rapid development of industrial and agricultural productionGuangzhou Normal University, under the leadership of Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee.
