MSc Electronic and Electrical Engineering of the University of Durham is a one-year full-time project. The main purpose of this major is to cultivate students' key knowledge of electronics and electrical, so that they can carry out responsible, innovative and challenging work in the industrial field or research field.

The project will cover knowledge in all key areas of electrical and electronic engineering. In addition to the theoretical and technical background provided by the course, students will also accumulate rich practical experience through personal research projects, team design projects, and laboratory support projects under the guidance of teachers.

Introduction to Master of Electronic and Electrical Engineering

The Master of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Durham University consists of a team design course, a personal research and development course, and six teaching courses. In addition to the above contents, students also need to choose one of the following A and B forms for learning.

In the team design course, each team will be equipped with an instructor to guide students through various design stages. The main purpose of this course is to enable students to understand the steps of electronic and electrical system design. During the whole process, students will spend about 20 hours communicating with their tutors.

Individual research and development projects are open challenges that every student needs to face. Students need to meet with their mentors periodically to discuss project progress and planning issues. At the same time, the college will also conduct mid-term evaluation to ensure that things are on the right track. At the end of the project, students need to submit a research report.
