About the speaker

Mr. Zhang Fan is the vice president of GAC Research Institute and director of Concept and Modeling Design Center, director of China Industrial Design Association, executive director of Guangdong Industrial Design Association, and master's supervisor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Fully manage the industrial design of all models of GAC Group's own brand "Trumpchi" and "Ai'an". As the creative consulting director of Designworks Shanghai Studio, Mr. Shi Haolian has a diversified design background, ranging from auto start-ups, design consulting companies to global OEMs. Most of his career has been designing for high-end and luxury brands such as BMW, Mini, Rolls Royce, Fisk and Cadillac. He holds a bachelor's degree in vehicle design from the Design Institute of Pasadena Art Center, California.

Mr. Shi Haolian, Creative Consulting Director of BMW Group Designworks Shanghai Studio, from the perspective of design, deeply discussed how to give leadership the power of change, how to stimulate and empower creativity, emphasized the concept of teamwork in design leadership, pursued excellent design, accepted imperfections and continued improvement, encouraged innovation The importance of maintaining a modest attitude to team progress and creative design. Mr. Shi Haolian also mentioned that the core competence and value creation of designers should maintain their independence and creativity.

Professor Liu Pingyun is the chief executive of the design of the "Ice Pier", the mascot of the Beijing Winter Olympics; Vice President of the School of Visual Arts and Design, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (presiding over the work); Head of Guangzhou National Advertising Industrial Park, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts; Winner of Guangdong May 1st Labor Medal, the person of the year of Baidu Boiling Point in 2022. He has been committed to brand visual design research for a long time, and has presided over or mainly participated in important projects including the IP image design of China Air Show, the mascot design of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, etc.

Mr. Liu Pingyun, professor and doctoral advisor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, divided the speech into two parts: IP new era and IP cultural and creative design. According to his own research and practical experience, he drew three key elements for the success of IP: basic plate, topic and interaction. The recovery of the tourism industry after the epidemic has made the combination of cultural and tourism brands and IP image a necessity of the times. At the same time, Mr. Liu Pingyun also emphasized the importance of IP image as a brand/enterprise, and proposed that IP cultural and creative design should focus on historical culture and the current era, and combine creativity, vision and practicality.

Tong Huiming is a professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and the founder of BDDWatch. Former Deputy Director of the Industrial Design Teaching Guidance Sub Committee of the Ministry of Education, and International Jury Member of the G-Mark Award 2017-2021 in Japan. In recent 40 years, he has been an industrial design observer, educator, practitioner, and founder of the concept of Brand Driven by design (BDD).

Tong Huiming, professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, divided the keynote speech into two parts, and elaborated on what design leadership is and design leadership in the AI era. Mr. Tong Huiming, taking Apple's entrepreneurs and designers as an example, foresaw that AI generation disruptive products might be led and changed our lives by designers, and then introduced "ten good AI design principles" to give designers some suggestions and references.

Ms. Mao Yumin holds a master's degree in communications and electronic systems from the Department of Electronic Engineering and Information Science of the University of Science and Technology of China. He is currently the director of the UCD and Translation Center of Huawei 2012 Lab and the director of the Experience Design Subcommittee of Huawei 2012 Lab, responsible for the management of Huawei's user experience design and multilingual translation business. Zeng Renhua was Vice President of Consumer BG Software Department, Head of UX Design Department, Head of Technology Planning and Product Management Department. He was once responsible for UX design management of all Huawei consumer products, as well as product management, technical planning, marketing, technical cooperation and other work in the field of Huawei consumer BG software. He has made outstanding contributions to research and development, marketing, marketing and other positions, and won the title of "Top Ten Blue Blood" of Huawei.

Ms. Mao Yumin, director of the UCD and Translation Center of Huawei 2012 Lab, proposed that the technology products must continue to innovate and adapt to and lead the industry reform trend from the perspective of Huawei's vision and the three major design problems currently encountered. With regard to human-computer interaction and the design of AI products, Ms. Mao Yumin shared the specific results of Huawei's design team's AI enabled design practice through short videos, and discussed with participants the identity positioning of designers under the AI wave, as well as many challenges and coping strategies in developing systematic AI products.

Ms. Liu Xihui is an associate professor of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, mainly engaged in design management, business model and design policy research. Established Haohan Product Design (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and led the team to complete hundreds of design projects. In the field of design management, the evaluation model of enterprise design competitiveness was established and adopted by European countries. In the field of business model, it has successfully created business cases such as Shangpin Homestead Allocation to lead the industrial transformation.

Ms. Liu Xihui, Assistant Dean and Doctoral Tutor of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, compared the traditional business environment with the new business environment, and concluded that the new business environment is fresh, dynamic, and full of uncertainty. Its English abbreviation is VUCA (namely variability, uncertainty, complexity, and fuzziness), Further analyze the reasons for the change of its new business environment and put forward suggestions to the audience. Ms. Liu said that she expected more and more teams and companies to "design for strategic planning" in the future.

Mr. Harvey Kim is the Managing Director of Accenture Greater China, with more than 22 years of consulting experience. He has successively worked in Accenture's offices in Seoul, Singapore, Beijing and Shenzhen, including 14 years in China. In his career, Harvey has provided business consulting services to large global and Chinese technology giants, focusing on business strategy, experience design and business operation model design.

Mr. Harvey Kim, the managing director of Accenture Greater China, told us about the impact of globalization on the design industry, proposed the importance of business model and operation model system for enterprises, and emphasized the necessity of innovation for operating system design and business model development.

Mr. Liu Xiaokang has been engaged in design for more than 40 years, and has been active in many different creative fields and achieved certain achievements. He has won 300 individual awards. Mr. Liu Xiaokang, the founder of Jin Liugao's creative strategy, showed us the changes in Hong Kong in recent years, as well as his unique philosophical attitude towards life.
