The Yellow River Bridge is one of the important control projects of the Jinan West Ring Project. It is a partial cable-stayed bridge with four tower steel-concrete composite beams with the largest span and scale in China. It is also the first partial cable-stayed bridge in China to adopt the core box+super cantilever structure. The bridge span is (140+3 × 240+140) meters, the bridge deck is 36 meters wide, and the steel structure consumption is about 19000 tons. The box section is 15m long, the cantilever arms on both sides are 10.5m long, and the standard spacing of cantilever arms is 3.0m.

The main bridge of this closure adopts the structure of single box three chamber large cantilever variable cross-section steel-concrete composite beam. The beam at the fulcrum is 8.5 meters high, and the beam at the midspan is 4.5 meters high. The beam height changes according to the secondary parabola. The top surface of the steel box girder is set with a 2% cross slope, and the upper part is paved with reinforced concrete pavement. The construction team of China Railway Fourth Engineering Group Co., Ltd. for the first time adopted the manufacturing and assembly technology of ultra-high variable cross-section core box+super large cantilever steel beam, continuously optimized the construction process, completed the construction task of steel box beam in advance, and provided a strong guarantee for the completion node open to traffic at the end of the year.
